Hi there my wife had the diagnosis yesterday fibromyalgia as she had been having pain everywhere for about 2 years My wife around 5 years ago had a tumour removed from her tummy which when the hospital removed it found it to be nearly 5 stone in weight hence why my wife felt that it was the repercussions of the tumour and surgery which was causing the pain now and for the last 2 years.
The home where we live has a lot of steps to get to the front door and she struggles every time she has to leave the house and our bathroom is upstairs and she finds that task very difficult to achieve we rent privately and the landlord wont allow for a stair lift which a grant was avzilable for this also a grant was there for the bahroom to be adapted for my wife but again the landlord wont allow it could anyone advise please

Hi and a warm welcome. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our website fmauk.org and our patient information booklets at fmauk.org/publications
Regards your house, I suspect that your landlord is within their rights not to agree to the adaptations and there is little you can do except consider moving to a more suitable house
