Good luck ! Remember, when they say 'Hi, how are you ?' don't automatically say 'Fine/good' as we British usually do, out of habit/politeness !

And always answer any/all ''Can you do.....'', answer 'sometimes, but not repeatedly or regularly'

Hi Dippystuff, most of my answers to can you do were no, not without assistance, I think that’s why she kept asking how I did thing with assistance and I had to go through like chapter and verse just to tell her how hubby assists me climbing into the bath to take a shower etc. xx

Oh, and make sure you ask them to wait when you need to adjust your seating etc due to pain, and tell them why !

I made sure to do this and my 'report' actually stated that I ''had to frequently halt the interview due to pain''. It was all true, I just didn't do what most of us would while on a call, which is to suffer in silence, or to 'gloss over it'.

Well I had my pip assessment yesterday….my she talked fast and in turn this made me talk fast back. She said the assessment would be about 45 minutes but mine actually took 1hr 20 mins. I spent more time trying to explain in detail how I do thing with assistance. I had pages of ŵriting that my hubby and son wrote out spread out in my kitchen , each one being about said activity which was handy., cried a few times, mumbled a bit. 5hen she said right let’s do medication because I’m weary of the time. We were whizzing through meds and she told me I was on 75mg pregablin BD… I told her it’s been doubled since and I’m on 150mg, BD, she wouldn’t have it and kept it at 75mg.. I need to get in touch with them. Then she thought she’d finished after she read out my meds coz I then had to add Fluoxetene, now that’s a different ball game cos she thought she had finished….she then had to ask me more questions. There’s loads I didn’t say coz I forgot. Can you add to the assessment after the initial assessments been done? Just so glad that’s done now I need to finish off filling the ESA form in….all theses form’s and phone calls are doing me head in. This form filling is so tiring coz you really have to think about it. Big hugs to everyone xxx
