Hello, I sent my PIP application online approximately a week ago. I know I’ll have a wait. The only thing I’m worried about is I said I can walk between 20 and up to 50mtrs. ( only on good days !)Most days I don’t leave my bedroom as I’m in so much pain. Do you think this will go against me ? My anxiety is off the charts and most likely have to wait months for assessments

Waiting on PIP assessment
hi, i sent my pip papers back end of February and i have my assessment today. So not too long waiting. Im really anxious and havnt slept all night worrying about today ☹️
Hi there, you can explain when you have your assessment about the fact its only on good days, (which are probably few and far between). Write everything down that you go through on your worst days and leave no stone unturned. Don't be afraid to say exactly how it is. Best of luck with your application. It took nearly 4 months from start to finish with mine. Hopefully it'll be quicker for you, and the good thing is, post covid it's all on the phone and you don't have to travel anywhere for the assessment. Have all your future medical appointments written down ready for the assessment, and I'm sure they've told you this but make sure you take pics of prescriptions of any new meds you might be given whilst waiting and send them in to pip. This is so important. My assessor was lovely by the way, they are health professionals and if you don't understand any questions fully ask them to elaborate before answering. I really hope for a good outcome for you, as it does relieve some pressure, not the be all and end all but some relief is better than none! ❣️
I wouldn't worry too much you'll just end up in a flare, If that's what you can do and that's what you have told them, then so be it,
If your not satisfied with the outcome you can always ask for a Mandatory reconsideration, Be careful though because they can just take away too, Then your looking at a battle to get what you think is fair,
I wish you a speedy result, Nobody likes to wait after all, I have become quite reliant on my P.I.P but i spend it on trying to feel and look better even just having more lovely night wear than clothes, 🙂

You should of completed the form with symptoms of your worst day, not your best.
you can do it but with an aid ie a stick crutches and a perambulator . good thing to have for your worst days never mind the good . i cant go far sometimes even 5 yards without my three wheel thingy . i need a new hip and have extensive arthritis and fibro all cumulating in the PAIN experience . . i get the do not get out of the bedroom bit some days its really hard to expose yourself to the Pain . . i even fall over with my trusty steed if i hit a bump in the road thats enough to make me fall over . so to help you do stuff get one of those things ok its mainly old folk like me now that use them but im over it if it means im slight more mobile then i use it .
