could anyone advised if it’s a good idea to update PIP with fibromyalgia? if so would this mean I have to start whole PIP process again after I only started the process august 2022 for lupus(connective tissue disease, Sjögrens raynards) hypertension.
It affects feet legs, shoulders arms and worse of all hands so writing is difficult.
Thank you 🙏

Another diagnosis doesn't mean you have to notify the DWP as it would be considered a 'change of circumstances.' As you thought, you would then be sent a new claim form, have to go through another assessment, etc. Just add fibromyalgia when next reviewed.
Thank you for the replies it’s helped to just not bother, just the thought of speaking to them and the forms makes me feel nauseous they are nasty people who laughed at me last year on the phone. 😃🙏
You have to be carefull if your putting in for change of circumstances your putting tthe award you have got at risk the welfare worker I knew used to say that unless iits visible or extreme changes be carrefull as you’ll have read. There trying to get people of sick even if you’ve been on it for yrs the goverment I mean there saying evry disabled person is fit for some kid of work it’s your choice but if your due a reveiwvshortly that’s bad enough but personally unless your symptoms are extreme I wouldn’t put what I had at risk .there two sites online and they give you descriptors and how many points you need but they also tell you if your putting in for a change of curcumstances as well turn 2us is one benefits and work is the other but yo pay a subscription on benefits and work but it gives you a newsletter and tips how to fill form in and what’s tricky questions you can go online and look there both very usefull good luck whatever you choose to do
I already decided not to bother as the stress last time was bad enough and she asked same questions over and over and then was laughing so another voice came on and took over was not a nice person.
I had fibromyalgia added as a diagnosis but waited till my review for pip. I was on lower rate but I went through to nearly appeal this time and got full award. Even though I had added the fibromyalgia diagnosis and deteriorated they reckoned I had no changes! And Based it on a assessment 3 years before! No assessment was done this time! It Was well worth the fight they had no evidence to use at appeal so called me to ask what I had and why I thought it was wrong. Basically I felt form had been ignored and gave examples of things I struggle with and need help. Was told over phone I was upgraded on award 😁
I also agree, all depends on what you get now. If on a lower rate, then add it as these "extra" problems could alter the score you have. A change of circumstances is a change getting Better as well as Getting Worse. It sounds to me as though yours are getting worse.
