Hello as a new claimant you should get priority but just make contact with the DWP having all you ID information to hand and enquire about the progress of your claim. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Just called them and they said in the final stages just waiting for a case manager to make decision from assessment (but I haven’t had any assessment phone or face to face ) and it will prop be around 2/3 weeks when I will hear a decision.
Hello you may have had a paper assessment as your application form was so convincing the information and supportive evidence that no physical or phone assessment was required. Saying that if the award isn’t what you expected or deserve in your opinion you could submit a mandatory reconsideration but take advice first. You could be awarded the low award but just not enough points to get enhanced. Having a copy of your assessment report will enable you to see where the assesor has scored low. At the end of the day it will be your decision.
It actually seems to vary by area according to how many claims have been made. No harm in ringing them, that is if you can actually get througn.Hope you get a good decision.x

The average is about 20 weeks but in reality it depends on who is dealing with it and how many claims have been received. A gentle nudge can't do any harm. It's certainly stressful waiting and waiting to find out one way or the other. Good luck

Hi, new to this, thanks for all the support and suggestions so far, but can anyone tell me if you can apply for any benefits if you work full time? I do work full time just now but think it’ll not be long before I will need to consider reducing my days or hours because of the horrible flare ups I’m getting.
