Yes you can apply with Fibromyalgia and any other conditions you have should be included. Just make sure you don’t contradict yourself on the form with your caring duties. EG if you experience pain/fatigue how do you care for your daughter - you would need to explain this. This site has a benefits helpline which you can contact - or use the CAB.

There is no reason why you need to mention it. It’s about the difficulties you have. People do get PIP and Carers Allowance. People who work get PIP. I would contact the helpline on here.

As far as PIP goes, it's not about any diagnosis, but rather how your disability affects certain activities of daily living &/mobility. Have a look at the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP:  cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset...

Everyone is entitled to claim PIP, so have a look at the descriptors to see where you feel you 'may' get points. No one is necessarily 'entitled' to be awarded PIP, it's how your functional abilities are affected looking at the PIP descriptors.

Let us know what you decide as everyone here is most supportive.

Hi cazz I have fibromyalgia also and I am a carer for my husband they did refuse my pip at first but I appealed against the decision I now get the basic awards for both care & mobility so it is worth putting in for it may take a while as they are backlogged with new claims but I think it will be worth it depending on how your fibro affects you day to day good luck with it if you apply x
