Hi there. Among other things I’ve had to accept that my driving days are now severely impacted by fibro etc and am looking at getting a disabled rail card. The website says I need to provide a PIP award letter dated the last 12 months. My original letter is over two years old.
I’m in the process of trying to access a rheumatologist consultation for updated information which I need to submit to DWP with a few other changes including Occupational Health assessment for very reduced working, carpal tunnel diagnosis, recent physio therapy and incontinence team input.
I’ve been trying for ages to contact DWP direct for advice on whether to submit all the changes together or just ask for a new letter for the railcard. No chance. Time moves on and my brain is struggling to juggle this and come up with the answers. I would be so grateful for your advice and thoughts please - thank you in advance.

If you are of senior age you could just get a senior rail card so as not to have to go through extra stress with DWP..Me and my husband have a two together card but I am thinking of getting a senior or a disabled card for myself when sometimes I dare to travel on my own
Unbelievably I called this number and got through within 40 minutes - result! They are sending me a form for the updated information - bit scary - and resending the ongoing award letter for my rail card application. Thank you so much to you all for your good advice. Happy Wednesday!
I’ve got mine just after I got my letter I got 3yrs it’s good to have and save a fortune plus if you don’t travel alone person with you also gets discounts
