Hi, costochondritis may be one to check out. But I would suggest you make an appointment to see your GP. I hope the pain eases soon.

Also sounds like anxiety and panic attack. My first symptom of anxiety as young person was chest pain, the doctors said they could give me a chest xray but it most likely wouldn't show anything. As the years went by it became more obvious it was anxiety, and while I still have panic attacks and they do effect my breathing, they don't cause chest pain anymore.

Hi SleepyheadI hope you got an appointment to have someone look at your breathing. I have found my chest wall pain gets worst or seems worst when I have more stress. My posture gets more curled up and I have to think about posture.

I would ring 111 if you don't have relief in your breathing soon.

Take care

Gigi

hi Sleepyhead. Do you have a bad cough asthma or COPD. I have what you’ve got constantly day and night turns out it’s pain in the chest wall which protects the lungs. I rub ibuprofen on my chest breasts and back before going to bed. Hope this helps.
