Hi Punta, you haven't said if you get pip, if not you should be applying to get this first as you can still work while you are getting pip. Once you are awarded that look at cutting your hours down at work. I had already reduced my hours at work also. I had a work capability assessment with dwp but was off work due to a massive flare with my fibro and a trapped nerve in my neck, after an MRI I was told I would need surgery to correct this, I was unable to do my job as a teaching assistant as looking up and down caused me to go dizzy, I was coming to the end of my ssp paid by work so was sent forms from my employer to contact dwp. Before getting esa I had my assessment, and was granted it, I also get pip, and the assessment was very similar to that, if you don't get pip I would go down that route first. Citizens advice helped me with my pip assessment, you can have someone with you when you have any assessments. Good luck. X
