what’s helped me

if I had known more about this disease at the beginning, I would have done more then!

if a flare is coming on, I know I need to rest a little, stretch and move , so with the rest only small doses of lying down just to fully rest the body but not staying in bad too long , maybe half hr.

exersise walk every day maybe take small steps if you are bad, like some mins a day but gradually getting up,to 20 mins, and maybe twice a day , getting fresh air and enjoying the nature,

Pilates was great for me, I started slowly at beginners level , working up to intermediate, but found advanced too much, the semental control moves , Like the cat , spine curl , roll downs are great to keep from tightening up and staying flexible in the spine Which is really important ,

Chiropractic for me was a life saver as I was in a very bad way at the beginning having had stopped everything, which is the worse thing you can do! I know not all can afford , so that’s difficult, should be so much cheaper . But if not get a roll and self massage every other day . I have done a video of rolling if anyone wants .

Diet , having at least one really good meal a day with veg salad etc, plus eating 8 pieces of fruit veg a day . Meat fish , beans etc but try to cut down sugars

having social contact with understanding people,

trying to stay positive, confronting bad emotions and dealing them , thinking on healthy good things

not watching the bad news too much

staying calm, resisting fear as much as possible , not taking on other peoples burdens , for me it was letting them go to God , who can deal with them better than me

getting back up , when I had gone down , yes rest , yes sometimes feel the emotion, but don’t stay there, but keep going on your forehead , never lose hope !

positive thinking is a must. oh and a sense of humour like no other.

I do one very easy task a day, everything else do is a bonus,

wiggling toes is a task, if that's all can do then it is still a good day.

thanks for sharing, hope you manage to have less fibro and more smiles.

The elephant is a good one for spine and back of legs, if do the aero version of Joseph Pilates. aeropilates.eu/ trampolining while laid down used to be a favourite before fibro.

I absolutely agree with you. Personally I'm a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer. I find if I don't move I get so much worse but I also have to take regular short rests during the day to get through and when I'm in a flare up I adapt massively but still keep moving. I have therapy once a fortnight and chiropractor once a month and they have been life savers as well as the balance of medications. Sending positives thoughts x

Great Post! you really have to apply self care, just popping pills not helpful, I enjoy and benefit from a gentle swim, stretching. 🤔got to try get back to gentle yoga, had so many flares recently dropped out of doing that, I find pacing difficult to get my head around them suffer afterwards guess I'm still learning, I'd meditation from YouTube certainly dial down the stress frustration we feel. wishing you all an OK day 🦋💜
