Hi everyone, thank your kind comments. I have had this dizziness for a while now,I told one doctor about it and he thought it was labrynthitus. I keep feeling like I am tilting to one side, and moving when I am not, it makes me feel a bit weird. As one person mentioned it might be bppv a form vertigo does anyone have this and do you think I have it?Do you take medication for this and should I ask the doctor again they are doing blood tests next week so I am hoping that they find nothing bad. I am not sure what I have and am fed up with it all X ❤️😢🤗

Hi fibrogirl, I suffer with this dizziness and weird feeling too. I went into town this morning and I felt drunk even though I hadnt been drinking. I did a blood test recently and told to keep doing blood pressure readings for a week. When I saw the doc about this recently he was quiet good, I also mentioned the sweating and constant fatigue. I dont suppose the blood test has any changes and the blood pressure seems normal. But what is normal for us may be different to someone else. I will post any results but I expect we just have to keep going! Take care.

hi yes this fibromyalgia is not great is it. I still have anxiety which I am fed up with, my stomach feels like it is in knots sometimes, and sometimes I don't even feel hungry, I still have the dizziness I wonder if it is all anxiety and I have coughing fits sometimes. great isn't it. not. I hope you are ok and had some help with your problems. 😉🙂

Hi - I would suggest you continue to be guided by your Drs, & discuss with them further after your blood test results are back. Here's some info about labyrinthitis from the NHS website: nhsinform.scot/illnesses-an...

Hoping you get some answers soon.

Hi The doctor can do a quick test by laying you down and tilting your head from side to side to see if you have bppv if you do have bppv the doctor can give you some pills for the dizziness, but not for the condition. Hope this helps.

I have bad vertigo, I was told to avoid lots of medications but only OK with paracetamol. Sometimes so bad that I walk zigzag. Hoping yours is not vertigo, wishing you better

As bigalan said its worth getting seen face to face to check for bppv (crystals in your ears causing vertigo). I was prescribed tablets and I paid privately to have someone perform the eply maneuver which pretty much resolved mine. It can be scary when it comes on, hope you get some answers

well strangely enough I’ve had this for the past couple of weeks but I’ve also had bad sinuses for a few months so put it down to that . Even going on the computer makes me feel dizzy, I’m fine if I sit still and don’t move. Avoiding doctors as mine do nothing.

Hi -I’ve had Fibro for around 12 yrs. I have been suffering with dizziness and vertigo quite a lot for about 8 months. My doctor has taken bloods and asked me to do my blood pressure for a week. But he has also requested a MRI on my head for me to check nothing else. Offered me more tablets but I said no as I take so many. Hope this helps.

Hi, I've suffered with dizziness and nausea on and off for years. Prior to my fairly recent diagnosis of Fibro the doctor said I had vertigo.

That was several years ago and I was given an anti-emetic to help alleviate the nausea. The dizziness and balance issues suffered then did eventually subside. I haven't had as bad an episode as that since

However, I do constantly seem to feel as though my head "swims" suddenly and for no apparent reason. It can be from bending over and straightening; lying to sitting/standing; occasionally sitting to standing.

I really ought to have a check up with the GP but not easy when you struggle to get an appointment and caught between moving geographical areas!

I hope you manage to get sorted and feel better soon 😊

I have suffered from vertigo like this for years, there are exercises you can do if you look on the NHS website. It takes about a week to help but it is the only thing I find effective. It does return eventually but just start the exercises again.

Hi Fibrogirl41. Yes, I too have this, feeling like I've been on a ship, listing to one side, but I haven't, of course. I've had ears tested, eyes tested, nothing unusual found to explain it. So, I've used a walking stick for 2yrs just to help in case of actually "going over". Recently, at home, I haven't actually fallen but have stumbled several times. It is unnerving but I just think it's one of these things I have to live with. The GP did prescribe Betahistine but they didn't really make any difference, so have now stopped them on a different GP's advice. I hope this makes you feel better that you are not alone in this disconcerting symptom.
