fed up with fatigue and dizziness etc...

hi I am sorry for the rant and long post, but I am wondering if anyone takes supplements for fibromyalgia and the fatigue etc. my legs sometimes feel like they are not strong enough to hold me up, and the fatigue is sometimes bad. I am still struggling with a bit of dizziness and I hope the blood test will not show up anything bad, but I will worry about it. I sometimes feel a bit like my legs and arms feeling like lead but I am trying to exercise again a little bit and hopefully I can start up swimming again soon. I just wanted to write my worries down because I know that you all understand. thank you ❤️ 🌸

I completely empathise as I'm fed up with fatigue and dizziness too. I cant even walk round to the shop without feeling exhausted and stumbling with dizziness. Some days are better than others. I'm sorry I dont have any advice. Just to say I understand how frustrating lit is living with fibromyalgia.

HI Fibrogirl41

sorry to hear you are having dizziness. It can be tough to exercise and I hope the swimming goes well for you.

I take some supplements but have regular blood tests to make sure my levels are right.

I take probiotics to help me balance my gut. Vit D (my bloods vary so sometimes small amount in summer more in winter) i have just started taking omega for eyes.

There are other comments on supplements in posts if you use search.

I hope you find some relief soon

dear fibro girl, have you made a doctors appointment to discuss your symptoms and your concerns ? You may have other health issues which have not been diagnosed and could be making you feel this way. I have other health issues which is why I ask if you have spoken to your doctor. Not all symptoms are fibro related.

Good morning Fibrogirl,

I used to feel exactly the same, I used to find it hard work to lift a mug of tea. I did a 24 hour detox and the results were amazing for me, one thing I did learn from the detox is to make sure you have about 11 glasses of filtered water but also have a little something food/vegetable drink as the body will stress out after so many hours without food.

I do take supplements, the main ones I take are L-tryptophan for sleep, Buffered vitamin c to help protect my adrenals from stress, Zinc with copper which increases my sense of taste and smell , a multi vitamin and some liquid iron.

I hope you feel better soon

Best wishes

, yes I too have vertigo especially when I get up quickly & turn my head left. It’s definitely a fibro symptom. I take prochloraperazine which helps a little. Also I’m with you with the arms & legs. I too have feelings of weakness in them & when I try to get up from say a crouching position it takes all my strength to pull myself up. Like you say the legs don’t feel strong enough to do there job properly & my arms are the same. I do walking (especially dog walking) to help & I do gentle yoga, they both help a little, but I think the key thing that I find helps is to do everything in moderation & try not to overdo it. Hope this helps. ((Big hugs)) & take care 🥰

hi thanks for your kind message x I was wondering do you get any side effects from taking the medication because I have some of what you mentioned in your post, the doctor said it was labrythitus at the time but I don't know if it's still that or as you said fibromyalgia symptoms. I am having blood tests done on Wednesday and I hope they come back OK x I will keep you posted x 😉

I had a really good chat with my GP this week about what else I can do to manage symptoms. She is always really helpful, although of course hasn't got a definitive answer. She said that she has patients who have benefitted from turmeric, others from CBD oil, others from magnesium spray, some from changing to a less processed diet, some from conventional drugs. She suggested trial and error is the only way to see what could work for me.

What she was very clear on was that exercise is really important no matter what else I try. Even on the days when I can't do as much or don't really feel like it.

Although it wasn't a solution, it did help me feel more positive that I have support for trying different things. Good luck in finding something that will help you.

Hi Fibrogirl. There are lots of supplements you can try and lots to read about on Google if you have time and energy. Everyone is different so I will list a few things. B vitamins especially N12 but nothing where the B12 lists cyanocobalamin. - This is bad. There are two other sorts that are good. Vits A to E certainly. As you may be perimenopausal, look at things to help that. - D-Ribose helped to give me energy and I don't always use it now. I reckon it gave me half my life back but it also might depend on what stage your Fibro has got to. I think it changes mode every now and then. I would suggest trying NMN - its a tiny amount of powder that goes under the tongue. I like the little pot. It's about twenty quid but lasts ages. Good reading on that too. Think about parasites! They can pull you down. Anyway, that's enough about supplements. Look at stuff to boost your immunity too. - I hope you get to swim again soon.

Hi fibrogirl, I’ve recently started a supplement stack to try and help pain/tiredness. I’m only a few weeks into taking them so it’s maybe too early for full results but I have noticed that I am more alert/energetic during the day, even after terrible sleep. I take: collagen, Boswellia, devils claw, vitamin d and k, and zinc.
