hello everyone hope you are ok out there. I am wondering if anyone would know I am dizzy in the morning at the moment and I spoke with the doctor last week and told him the rest of my symptoms and said that it was labrythitus. I am still experiencing a bit of dizziness and the feeling of moving when I am not. I was wondering if I should ask the doctor about it again or not. I sometimes feel weird and told another doctor that and she is doing some blood tests I hope they don't find anything wrong x anxiety is it or not I am not sure. I hope I soon get to the bottom of this soon x 🤗😕🙃

try doing the brandt daroff exercises 5 times a day plus wearing the anti seasick wristbands for a few days. These were very helpful when I had labyrinthitis.

Does it happen when you stand up or when you turn your head? I've been getting it the past few months and my GP diagnosed BPPV which is a kind of vertigo. Definitely worth a mention to your GP, it can become quite scary as may affect your balance or driving etc. Keep us posted xg

Get dizzy and cannot stand still for ,ong. I have fibromyalgia but doctor found J have low blood pressure. Apparently its a condition that you can get with fibro. Get your doctor to take your blood pressure while standing.

hI fibrogirl41, it is frustrating when this occurs, I too have had dizziness with fibro, feel like I'm moving when I'm still, it's good you are having blood tests as it's so often that we put it down to the fibromyalgia. I have recurrent sinus and ear pressure/infections , which flares up other fibro symptoms, it's a vicious circle that I've never been able to get to the bottom of. I wish you luck with getting some answers and relief.

sorry to hear you are struggling with this here is a link to the NHS advise page on the subject nhs.uk/conditions/labyrinth...

feel better soon 🙋

yes. All the time. The fluid in your ears. Settles in the horizontal position. Sit up gently and do chewing action or have drink. If it continues a few minutes later. Then maybe medication maybe at fault. Or try otrivine sinus spray. Or vics tube sniffer. To clear Euston tubes.

Hi , I’m going through the same thing it is awful I don’t think this is a Fibro thing I think it’s just something we just happened to get but it’s more for us to deal with .

I was told by my ent doctor that it’s caused by a virus if you are feeling like the room is spinning that’s vertigo I had the epley manover done by my ent doctor and that has sorted out the problem with the vertigo straight away I’m just left with really bad tinitus now ,and it caused me to go deaf in the left ear .

I have had to wait a year for a appointment but I know that chiropractors could do this manover for you so my advice is to ask your doctor if she or he could do it for you and if not book an appointment with the chiropractor as soon as you can .

The doctor can prescribe you with something for the dizziness but unfortunately they didn’t help me but it’s worth a try .

If I can help you anymore then please don’t hesitate to contact me .

I suffered with dizzy episodes at night when turning or getting out of bed. V disorientating indeed! Aftr months I did contact my GP again as previously she'd said it ws just part of fibro!!!

She recognised my symptoms +called me in for an appointment to do a manoeuvre on my neck. It caused the vertigo immediately! Not nice!!!

However all sorted now!

No more vertigo! It had to do with posture so do all neck exercises they recommend...

It's called a form of benign vertigo.

So glad it's been sorted but my neck hurts aftr the manoeuvre!!!

Can't win can you???

Hope yrs is sorted soon? x

i started experiencing this about 5 years ago and just occurs for no reason. Would be sat at my desk and suddenly woul d get extremely dizzy. I had bpv test and that was ruled out, I now have tinnitus in my right ear which can feel full and I feel dizzy with that. Seen ENT who said there is no cure for tinnitus and I just have to learn to live with it.

I hope that you can get an answer and get it sorted out

Hi, I have had similar and i was told i had Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) it is worth getting it checked out again if you are still getting dizzy. John.

Don't know if it's changed but years ago, Labyrinthitis, being a virus there was no test to say you actually had it, just the GP deciding it probably was, and there were no meds to cure it either. Worse, like fibro, it would come and go so you never knew if you were better or just waiting for the next episode. So horrid and debilitating and frustrating that you just had to wait until it resolved. Try telling your employers you randomly can't drive when they need you to! And you don't know when you will be back to being reliable!

More recently a friend started getting the same sort of symptoms which she recognised from a previous episode. After a while decided she couldn't deal with the nausia and feeling unsteady so went to see a new Dr to see if there was by now, any help? Amazingly he knew the Epley manuevure and had her fixed in minutes. What a relief! Not a horrid virus after all! She was able to get up and walk out of the surgery perfectly steadily and the lovely Dr was delighted to have been able to use his skills to such a dramatic effect.
