hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day. I am sorry to rant but I am having an ecg on Thursday and it is making me feel anxious and worried. I don't think I have any heart problems but I worry anyway. I still have chest ache but it is better than it was. I coughed a lot when I had covid so I don't know if it's to do with it or fibro related or costocondritis or anything. I have palpitations sometimes when I am nervous but I try to do deep breathing. I know that this is silly but I just hope that it goes well. I hope everyone is okay and not in too much pain x 😊😢

anxiety over ecg
hi, i have just had covid also and am now having chest pains on my left side. I will go and see my gp if it continues much longer.
don't fret an ecg is an easy none invasive test the worst is its embarrassing flashing your body. As for result it may be ok dont panic yet worst case you may need tablet to help with whatever is causing palpitations until you know more although difficult try not to worry hooe all goes well for you x
Aww try not to worry, the result could be that there is nothing wrong. Just try to put it out of your mind (easier said than done) and on Thursday try to keep calm. Hope that the results are OK. Take care, a gentle hug is coming your way. x
It’s normal too be worried I am the same if I’ve an appointment that’s out of my normal routine, when I had Covid recently the one thing it hit was my chest with coughing and did effect my breathing , thankfully all gone now, I’ve had a ecg where you sit ,they just connect you up so they can take reading s on the machine whilst your sitting sit, before you know it all be done and you will be on your way home, like you say you’ve had Covid as well .I think my results were back within a week at the doctors xx

It's not an invasive procedure and does not take long. You will be put at your ease. Hopefully all will be well in which case the reassurance you will have from this ECG will make you feel better! I have had several as suffered palpitations with attacks of anxiety. Good luck.
are you seeing anyone about the anxiety side of things? CBT or some mindfulness based activity could be worth looking at. If you are not having it looked at then this may be worth spending some time on it as it will not be helping your other health issues and fibro in particular.
