Hope everyone is well as possible. Just wanted to say my GP is on my side and all for me having my puppy trained eventually as a service dog for me to help with washing, stress, and deep presure therapy and more. This is massive, my puppy is a pet first and formost and I have has dogs all my life but if she qualifies then our bond will be on a level words cant say. My parents are saying again what they think i dont need but i dont rely care.

My GP said get cats less work but good for your immune system. Ha ha. I have had them for two years just about and have turned into a mad cat man. They probably eat better than I do.
haha cats less work, so funny your GP,
you will always be their favourite 'butler in training' lol
when do not serve their wishes they conspire, to remind what have forgotten.
vet teeth cleaning means nil by mouth aka no sleep at all night before.
Alas you will however be purred upon, kept warm, and taught how to catch a mouse with wiggles of bottom then a leap. The best seat will always be supported by the cat
Although when your ill they then tell you when cremating food, when heating needs switching on, give you routine and get you up.
enjoy your felines xx😁
The GP was concerned that getting a dog and having to walk it would take too much out of me. So that was the reason the cats came up but frankly they do compare with the workload of a pooch just different.
I have mine 'trained' to do various things, like play fetch but it is always on their terms. When they want to play, they bring their ball and drop it at my feet, it's a strange thing but they like to bathe. They scratch at the bathroom door, I put about an inch of water in the bath and in jumps a cat after a bit of rolling out it comes out to rub on a towel and the other one jumps in. When the litter trays need cleaned out, they sit and wail at me. They are 1/4 African wild cat so perhaps that comes from there (told you, mad cat man)
But I still feel like getting a dog, then perhaps a rabbit, a ferret or two then a couple of dozen other domesticated animals. An assistance flock perhaps, Ellie should do what makes her feel good, within reason of course.
It would be worth contacting AD UK and seeing what they suggest and what trainers if not theirs may be worth contacting. This is if you are thinking of going as far as an Assistance dog and the benefits and recognition this brings.
this is great news
only you know what you need,
family tend not to understand, never seem to offer help either, just mess with head with all the smoke and mirrors.
do what makes independent life easier for you and enjoy the deeper relationship. xx
gentle hugs
Hi , I hope you can go forward with this and your doctor is on your side which is good, let us know how you get along xx
