Just wondering if anyone suffers with breast pain or swelling not related to their cycle? I have been having these symptoms for about 6 weeks and not sure whether to speak to my GP as there is some correlation with breast pain and fibromyalgia from what I have read online. Thanks in advance x

You can have either soft flesh breast pain , or pec pain in the men too.You can also have chest pain relating to nerve pain around the upper ribs or something called costochondritis. Again both types of pain which can flare Fibro nerve pain effects both women and men.
Warm compress or warm wheat bag , reducing lifting anything heavy , including shopping bags or children for a while. Being careful with exercise , especially if you have started doing an activity a lot that you don't usually do that uses the chest area more , like swimming , exercise classes , gardening and horse or bike riding can cause injury or muscle exertion pain in the chest , including the soft tissue which feels worse and takes longer to improve with Fibro.
If you have had the pain from more than a month , just about every day with no cause that you can think of you should still see a GP straight away and have it examined properly and get tests done.
Both Men and Women can get benign cysts or growths or injury in soft tissue in the breast area that can't always be felt or seen and the right treatment is required. Both sexes can start to get constant pain , especially if they have a nerve issue or Fibro as an early sign of breast cancer.
It's better to have it checked and find out that it is nothing new than leave it and find something more serious later.
Hello all, its best to get to see your GP and check your breast ,I have been getting some serious pain in my breast and thought it was fibromyalgia or costochondritis,i check my breast daily and behind the breast I found a tiny lump deep down in my breast it was cancer stage3,now again the next breast feel like something running up and down I thought is the nerve ,again I found a tiny lump again and I am on treatment,so I will see the consultant next Wednesday and find out what is this again now is the left breast..I am not scaring anyone but the reality is to check throughly .
I did suffer dreadful breast pain, they felt incredibly sore and heavy, even just walking hurt them. In the end for me it turned out that it was down to hormones, I had Estrogen Dominance which in my case needed Natural Progesterone, which i purchased after reading reading a very good book by Dr John R Lee - it is about menopause and I went through a very early one but that said hormones can play havoc
Update-I found a lump this morning and got seen straight away. I have Periductal Mastitis and have been started on antibiotics. Thank you for everyone encouraging me to get seen, I think the difficulties in getting help for fibro has given me reticence to get seen. Lesson learned I won't ignore symtoms again. Hope you all have a nice weekend x
Thank goodness it was not serious and hope you feel better soon. I get sore breasts period related and My 2 year old is constantly grabbing at my boobs so they hurt most of the time anyway 😂x take care
can you please tell me what the lumps you found felt like please? I have pain in one breast and keep checking for lumps and I can feel all the usual soft squishy lumps but this one has a bigger squishy lump in the middle than the other breast, and it is where the pain is. Does this sound like a cyst or something? Thanks
