We know that using phones or tablets is more common and autocorrect etc can lead to some interesting results. Looking for support means you are asking questions and wanting answers. With any communication it is best to make it as easy for the other person to understand you and not make it harder than it needs to me.
So some tips:
* Space is important. Even without my eye issues I would not read big globs of text. Split text into paragraphs even if you are on the phone.
* Spelling is important. Meds and conditions have other similar words so best to get them right. Fibro not Fybro and not Fybromyalgia but is Fibromyalgia.
* Ask a question and ensure it makes sense
* Read back what you have written and make sure you are not assuming that people will get it
* Acronyms may not be understood so using them can limit some people from replying. (I will not say do not use them as I use them all the time :))
* ALL CAPS is shouting which is rude but is also harder to read.
* Last but not least use the Search function as it will have been asked before and there may already be a full and helpful conversation
* Also "is this it right forum" as there may be a better place to discuss mental health issues or questions about medication for non fibro conditions like osteoarthritis or diabetes for example.
* When posting you have the opportunity to lock your post to the community. This means that it will not be indexed by Google and other search engines but can still be found by members of HealthUnlocked. It is a personal preference but some people will not respond to these posts if they are not locked.
Feel free to ignore and they are aimed at helping you get an answer but if your post is too hard to read or understand then people may skip by.
