The University of Salford is carrying out research to develop a daily activities questionnaire and they have asked FibroAction to help them find participants.
What is the purpose of this study?
People with fibromyalgia often see occupational therapists, as part of their treatment, who ask about how they manage their everyday activities. This information helps therapists to help people manage any problem activities more easily. Often therapists ask questions using a brief checklist. In this study, we are developing a questionnaire to help this be done more thoroughly. We have already developed a questionnaire for use with people with rheumatoid arthritis. We now wish to see if it is relevant for people with other types of arthritis or musculoskeletal conditions, such as fibromyalgia. We also want to use this information to find out more about how fibromyalgia affects people’s ability to do things in their daily lives. We are asking your help to do this.
How can I get involved?
It's simple, just email info@fibroaction.org with your name and address and we'll send you a pack with further information.

I just checked your link for the Northern Ireland Group but unfortunately it is quite a distance awY from me. I live in Belfast & it is based in Newry.
I would however like to take part in the study if possible via post? I'm sure you would appreaciate Fibromites from around the uk.
How do I send you my address without anyone seeing? I'm not familiar with private messaging. Maybe if you sent me a message I would reply to it?
For everyone who has sent in their details, thank you! Please be aware that there will be a delay as we gather enough addresses and wait for the packs to arrive from the University of Salford.
Is the research project still open?
I think it is Fibrome, Lindsey posted earlier in October, so give it a go if you like. Any problems, please let us know and we will find out and clarify for you.
