Thought you may be interested to read about this campaign to light up for #fibroawarenessday.
Plus if you feel like supporting #May12BlogBomb you can find out more information by using google.... we could also support this idea suggested by Sally Burch by having our own blog bomb post here in our community?
Let me know if you think thats a good idea and if you're happy to support it ? A post that will not be locked to the community so I suggest we all copy a sentence, maybe the following & fill in the blanks X;
Fibromyalgia Syndrome (Fibro or FM) affects at least 1-in-50 people or around 2 million people in the UK alone. Despite this, awareness of Fibromyalgia particularly in the UK remains very low. Many people with Fibro struggle to get diagnosed and lack access to effective treatments, despite there being a huge amount of research on the condition.
I have been living for Fibro for X years and I experience X symptoms. Fibro impacts on my life as I cannot do the following X and I support International Fibro Awareness day 12th May 2014. We need more awareness so we can receive adequate treatments from Healthcare Professionals & also we need understanding from the general public as a whole #May12BlogBomb
You can copy & paste the words in italics & personalise for your comment or you can write your own words, it's up to you! If you like the idea, I can start the Blog Bomb at midnight of 11th May so you can comment on it.
Let's raise awareness by showing how many of us have Fibro and need to be heard!

I have been living for Fibro for 6 years and I experience a mixture of unpleasant symptoms. Fibro impacts on my life, as I'm only able to function fairly normally after noon most days, and even then, everything is an effort of will over fatigue. I support International Fibro Awareness day 12th May 2014. We need more awareness so we can receive adequate treatments from Healthcare Professionals & also we need understanding from the general public as a whole. #May12BlogBomb
Thank You forsharing in support of Awareness Day Blog Bomb. Could I ask you to add this and your support to the post we start on International Fibro Awareness Day itself (Monday the 12th May) You've done exactly right but if we can all do as many comments as possible in one big post on the actually day we can support the Blog Bomb!
Hi Emma. Hope you are well. I've had a look at the blog bomb on the web and I think it would be a great way for us to join in with our stories to help raise awareness.
Great Thank You for the reply. I look forward to reading your comment on the post started on Monday 12th May 2014 - International Fibro Awareness Day !
I'm a bit confused by the blog bomb thing - and google isn't my friend when I have foggy brain. However I think it's a fabulous idea, and just thought I could do a post on my business blog about fibro (I know a few of my craft friends have fibro too and they might join in)
So if someone could explain the blog bomb part in simple hobbit language that would help!
Basically I will start a post on International Fibro Awareness Day on Monday 12th May 2014 and to support the suggested idea that everyone with ME/Fibro should blog (if they have one) all on that same day! So blogs about Fibro & ME are everywhere!
I thought we could support it but starting a post and each one of us commenting about us briefly and give our support. Suggested text may
be;

If we all fill in the X with our brief personal info and make one long post of support! A post that will not be locked to the community so I suggest we all copy a sentence as above & fill in the blanks X;
I hope you'll add the following with the information X personalised to you in support on this coming Monday
