What's your most unusual Fibro symptom?

Read a couple of posts of late in relation to Fibro symptoms and the very salient point of not assuming everything is fibro. I find this really adds to my health anxiety. New symptoms = is this fibro or am I dying. Extreme I know.

In the past few months I've had some of the strangest onset of symptoms as well as some classics, dizziness, chronic low back, mid back and neck pain, rib pain, stomach pain and bowel problems, flank pain, ringing ears, voice distortion and my newest least favourite and one I've not come across anywhere is armpit pain.

What is your most unusual/distressing fibro symptom?

I've just realised this question has been asked many times before and reading them old posts has satisfied my curiosity so please don't feel obliged to answer. I would delete the post if I knew how 😆

Don't worry about deleting it, new people can read and gain knowledge.

Don't know if it's fibro related but it's weird. I get an internal buzz, almost an electrical feeling, all over. Not painful and lasts until I don't notice it. I only notice it when I am quiet.

Phantom smells, which are usually unpleasant.

Yes that does sound unusual. I assume you are the only person who can smell it. That must be strange when it appears to be something external to you.

I end up searching for the source of the smell and not finding it. I live alone, so can't verify this. But the smells feel very real.

Just the fact that I have it!

My weirdest fibro (or at least probably fibro) symptom is definitely nausea. I won’t go into details but… stairs after eating are not a good idea. Even small meals are hazardous! Also noises make me nauseous. 'Pointy' noises is the only way I can think to put it right now, and really bright lights do the same. I don’t know what’s going on with that! The most distressing one is the "I can’t move I’m so exhausted" fatigue! I climb stairs and I need to lie down for an hour or more!

The strangest symptom i have, is occasionally, and only in the top of the lower part of my right arm is, approximately 4 inches up from my wrist to approximately 2 inches below the elbow it feels like something like an ant or a small spider is crawling on the skin, I have sat and watched the area and there is nothing there, it always goes from the wrist end to the elbow end and repeats, it never goes back in the other direction, it is absolutely bizarre, you can see there is nothing there but can feel and watch it. I have been told that it is the nerve endings misfiring, and other people do get it as well.

Me too - arms and legs. I also get phantom mosquito bites and other lesions on my skin. Very nasty.
