I tried different mattresses, at the moment I have 4 of them and I jump into the bed (not literally) that I feel most comfortable with on the night based on pain threshold
My favourite one is the one I bought Futon. The price is reasonable. If you check out their website you will find out
Hi, like you have struggled with getting a comfy mattress, memory foam ones are no help when you suffer from joint and back pain + fibromyalgia, we recently bought a casper mattress which is very comfy, we also bought an Emma mattress for the guest room, and I generally flit from one to the other, while we were having our room decorated we were in the guest room, the only problem I found with the Emma is I could feel movement through it when he moved about, don't get enough rest as it is without being disturbed when asleep. So the casper has to win overall. Hope this is helpful, I know they are quite expensive, but haven't regretted buying either. Good luck ❤
Hi Lynn,How do you get onto your Casper? I have one as well. I'm relatively comfortable on it but it is so hard to get into as it sits so high on my adjustable base. I don't know how long my athletic days are numbered and know as difficult as it is now it's going to get worse. I have more in my response to the original message.
Big Thank you to all who replied, I have a better idea of what I need now
Hi,As people mentioned, there are discussions from the past that can help you. I just wanted to say it's quite personal. I for example cannot tolerate a soft mattress and I need a very firm one. Good luck and all the best.
Hi Toopainful,The perfect mattress has long been my quest. So thanks for your post. I had a$$$ latex mattress that was too hard and problematic. I now have a Caspar original which is relatively comfy (only 4 months sleeping on it) but it is so high on my adjustable base it's difficult to get into. I am 5'6" and my legs swing at least 6" off the ground so I am unable to do many of the things sitting on my bed that I used to. WHAT is it with these huge mattresses - and this one is not the highest. I have been thinking of returning it but perhaps will make some 'getting into' accommodation. FYI -- I bought it at Costco for around a reasonable $800 Canadian. They often have sales. One other problem with Caspar is that their bed has different dimensions and you have to buy their sheets.
I wish you all kinds of well and wellness.
A forum on beds would be welcome. I recently learned that some of my friends with serious mobility issues sleep in their reclining chairs.
