Hi there and welcome. Sorry you have been diagnosed with fibro its horrible.
Well the obvious thing to do and I'm sure you know what I'm going to say lol is turn of the air conditioner if it's causing pain.
If you live in a very hot country I'm sure you would find it hard to live without the air conditioner. Or maybe its a warm air conditioner? Either way if its hurting you maybe looking for other alternatives maybe the answer.
I personally can't stand any kind of air con blowing on me. We cant even use it in the car.
Has for pain meds. Its now been shown that strong pain meds do not help fibro pain and GPs are reluctant to prescribe them. Or they are trying to ween fibro patience of them. I myself had fibro for 40 yrs and now only use OTC pain meds.

i'm like Dizzytwo - i cannot stand any type of cold air blowing on me .... and most of the time have the air vents in the car either closed or at the lowest setting; and cannot sit near a fan.
hypersensitivity can mean things like air con blowing on us can increase pain - and easiest way to avoid it is to avoid sitting in the direct flow of the fans
Pain management can include things like heat/cold, keeping active/regular activity, mindfulness, meditation, complementary therapies, muscle creams/rubs, distraction through hobbies and interests etc. Might not take pain away completely, but can maybe help take the edge off it or at least take you mind off it for a wee bit x
Hello there I’m new and just seen your question. Hopefully I can help give you some answers. Feel free to message me. I’m currently getting my diagnosis & the last few years have been torture but the last 1yr has been hell. So this is what I have found to work.
I’ve found with my flares that naproxen or an anti inflammatory really helps. But has to be at least naproxen and not just Tylenol or Advil. You can get lower dose of naproxen on shelves. Just look for the generic name apo naproxen I believe it is. Good luck. I find my ac helps and is my saving grace. I overheat excessively and break out in hives all over. Our ac died & we had to quickly replace. I find storms make my flares much worse.
I should mention as I noticed this application is and all healthcare numbers and links are UK based. I wasn’t aware of this downloading the app. But I’m happy to learn lots of info with the community. I am located in Canada so if I suggest something it may be of a different name at the pharmacy. Also some of our lingo. So bare with me I will try to clarify definitions further if needed. 😊
Hi there ....even a door opening or a draught from someone passing can cause pain or irritation itching for me.....i solved the fan by geting rid of the fan and buying a dyson cold air which is not as forceful as a fan.....in air conditioning i wear a warm wooly long sleeved......does not get rid of every change of temp but helps.......
Hi magnesium malate is wonderful for fibromyalgia there are different types of magnesium but the malate is for pain... good luck
Also gel packs are a good way of cold / cooling therapy they can be put in the fridge or freezer .
I brought a small dog gel cooling pad and put it inside my pillow as I needed something to help with my hot flashes (perimenapause) omg it's amazing 👏
Fans, air conditioning and just the gentlest of nice summer breezes are all things that quickly cause my biggest flares, more than overdoing it, more than any other weather etc.. Makes holidays 'brilliant'... - I try not to, CoV helped. None of the examples given above alleviate this for me. The only think that helps a bit if I am able to get my head or anything moving is short alternate warm / cold showers.
