Hi all, I am new on here. My diagnosis has come after having many consultations with my gp. I have had all blood tests, scans, X-rays ect to rule out autoimmune disease, rheumatic and arthritis. I was referred by my go to have this confirmed, due to budget costs my referral has been rejected!! My go advice was to go onto ELHT and research re diagnostic and helpful hints on how to manage my condition. To say I am disappointed and let down is an understatement!! Am I justified in my feelings?

It's a difficult one, as there is still plenty of Covid out there, and referrals for anything are hard to get at present. GPs are retiring in droves, or burning out, so they are pretty well working at full capacity right now.
Give it a break for awhile and do some research for your own interest and find out more about it, there is quite a lot available here on the HU site.
You will probably find yourself as knowledgeable as your doctor about Fibro, which in fact can be to your advantage, although you will eventually want to get a firm diagnosis from either a Rheumatologist or a Neurologist.
Cheers, Midori
Hi and a warm welcome. Sorry to hear that your gp has not been more helpful - although researching and educating yourself on the condition and how to treat it is a positive way forward.
