Joint Pain Course

Thought some of you might be interested in this. Nuffield Health gyms are offering 12 week courses for management of joint pain, aimed at people with Fibromyalgia or Arthritis etc. You can be referred by your GP or self. Classes cost £2, and there are 2 a week. It also comes with 24 weeks free gym membership. Starting mine in May.

Hi spider. That sounds a real bargain. Hope you get a lot of benefit from the classes.

I go to a local rehab exercise class (£6). It’s on a Tuesday - and I always call the next day ‘paracetamol Wednesday’. Everything always hurts. But I think overall it is beneficial to try to do the exercises. Hopefully stops my joints seizing up.

Thanks a lot Spider395. Unfortunately none of the gyms mentioned are within reasonable travelling distance of my home, all being at least a couple of hours away on public transport which I am unable to manage on a regular basis. However I appreciate your response and hope that the course is of some use to you.

You can select the gym that’s nearest to you from a list when you register via the website. I’m not sure if all their gyms do the course but their are quite a few to choose from.
