Back in March I received the forms to renew my PIP and then about a week later we all went in to lock down. Normally I have someone help me fill in the forms but on this occasion it didn’t seem likely to happen so went ahead and filled it in myself. It took me nearly three months to complete (I am slow and my hand cramps when writing). I finally sent it off and within a week the DWP rang me! I was half asleep on the phone having been woken up by the call and this woman asked a few questions in regards to my form which she then said will be remaining at the same rate for another three years! I am so relieved for not needing a face to face at this time. Has anyone else found this during this lock down?

Mine was back in 2018, I’ve been waiting for a court date for appeal since November 2018 so it astounds me the amount of people having their awards renewed so fast during lockdown. I’m glad they renewed yours.
That is terrible! I assume there is a delay due to the lockdown but then yours should have been dealt with way before that. I am so sorry that you have had so much trouble.
Yes this was double the waiting time before we even went into lockdown & people are still being fully assessed & awarded even with the lockdown. I even contacted my MP a year ago & still no court date. I’m so stressed out over it now as it feels like a heavy black cloud over me & I can’t relax until it’s over 😞
I too had received the pip forms the week before lockdown I did have help to fill in my form and last week I got a letter saying I had the same amount of points as I did last time didnt have a phone call I was shocked that I didnt have a face to face or a phone call and next review is 2024
I received a letter last week stating my review on October 2020 has been extended until 21st April 2021 i dont have to contact them and everything is the same they will pay me as normal
Wow. I was the month before you then. Although I noticed when my letter arrived that is now June instead of September. Can’t complain since they have given me four years and not the 2-3 she stated on the phone.
