I got a statement today from Council tax and it’s gone down by £20 a month stating it’s because of benefit change. I applied for pip but not heard anything for 12 weeks now. Can anybody tell me if this has anything to do with pip.

Council tax
I'm really interested in finding out also I'm in receipt of pip, but my partner works. He was furloughed so has just got basic wage which is low. Will be following with interest. Maggie 😘
Hello
At the beginning of lockdown l received a letter saying that household in receipt of council tax support benefit would receive a deduction in council tax bill it was up to £150 pounds for the year. I think it depends on what your local council decides to do to support low income households at this difficult time.
I had the same & that came the same day as my pip decision letter 😊
I had the same i got 150 for the year due to covid
I just received a letter today saying they were changing the amount due to a benefit change. There has been no change! I just had my PIP updated with no change in amount. Not that I shall complain since it means paying significantly less.
That hardship fund exists every year but they are reluctant to use it most years.
