What is a therapeutic source? Can anyone explain this?
Someone I know asked me this same question apparently itβs the new PIP terminology, anyone?

It's someone who needs a feeding tube due to a medical condition. That stops them eating normally.
I think it's anyone who treats or helps you so physio, GP, anyone who has a medical background who treats you to improve your health. They have to use terms like this because not everyone who treats you will be a doctor.
This is not correct. It is Paraenteral / Enteral feeding systems e.g. NG or PEG. It is defined within the documentation but I also have personal experience of this as well.
These can be total replacement or supplemental nutrition routes. As well as nutrition they are also drug administration routes as well.

Was curious and it looks (with an AI assisted search) that this definition was in the original act/guidance in 2013. I can certainly find it in the PIP guidance page from 2019. So it does not seem new.
Whenever someone has a query over a term I would go to .gov website or even better go to benefits and works site.

p.s.
It was in the original legislation document - legislation.gov.uk/uksi/201...
Thanks again, I just find searching hard now. Spinal stenosis diagnosis, need a CIC for PIP will the benefits team be able to help?
I asked a colleague and they said: "it depends on whether its just they now have a diagnosis for the issue or whether they have new symptoms /issues to report.
I would normally just direct to benefits helpline as they need to weigh up the risks of having a full review and potentially losing what they have already (not worth it if only a diagnosis)"
