Feeling fatigued no matter how much sleep I get

I'm always waking up exhausted no matter if I get 8 hours sleep or 3 hours sleep. I always wake up feeling like I've had no sleep and I get migraines a lot.

What's the best way to manage this? Don't really want to go on more meds...

When I’m having a flare up I’m exhausted. No energy whatsoever. Apart from not having a body thermostat for me the fatigue is one of the worst things of fm x

Have you checked your iron levels? I asked because I know a few people who lack iron and are fatigue most days. Maybe ask for this to be checked out? Zinc and vitamin C is good for energy levels.

I take a standard iron, vitamin D and omega 3 tablet daily and try to go in the sun for a bit. I'll ring the doctors and ask if I can have my iron and vitamin d levels checked again. :D thank you

I'm the exact same, been like this for almost a year now. My GP said to cut out caffeine from 6pm but that hasn't helped. I've read on here people talking about flare ups but I seem to be in a constant flare up. Hope you get help soon.

I feel like I've got the lead role in the living dead and it's never ending. Hopefully you'll find a solution soon.

Same boat. I never sleep through because of the pain. I can sleep for an hour, then been awake for hours, then fall asleep and wake up again. Plus it can take me hours just to find someplace comfortable to sleep. I am lucky if I sleep more than two hours a night. And I have had the test for vitamin deficiency. They came back normal.

Hiya, I know the feeling. You not alone. I agree with iron ,zink and vitamin C. Also did your GP check your thyroid function ? For me it did make a difference as my was underworking so the meds ' lifted' me up. But not enough I still sleep a lot 8-9 hours and sometimes during the day 1 hour. I don't sleep deep , every time I turn I feel pain and woke up from 6am every hour so I guess my sleep is broken.

I don't know but yes I'm shattered mostly and if I do some chores - definitely I sleep during the day. I feel like a baby.

It's frustrating but it's the fybro o guess.

Keep safe.x

Yep I did have the thyroid test.

Came back normal too.

Most of the time I wake up feeling like death warmed up🤣🤣.

Sorry, I can’t really give any advice on how to deal with it....I’m in bed 10 hours most nights but nearly always have this exhaustion when I wake up and I struggle to get out of bed...unfortunately I’ve felt like this for over 15 years and never found a solution. I use magnesium malate supplement every night which helps me sleep , but I doesn’t completely alleviate the feeling.

I’ve had fibromyalgia for 20 odd years apart from about 6 months I’ve always woken up feeling I’ve been hit by a bus . The 6 months I completely went the other way I was up at 5 am full of life but come the afternoon I was drained. I don’t know what caused it but now what ever time I get up an hour later I could sleep for Great Britain. It’s so annoying. I have lots I would like to be getting on with but I’ve not got enough energy . I’ve tried vitamins minerals and energy drinks but nothing works . I was told not to fight it so now I just plod along . Oranges are meant to help with fatigue but I have a swallowing problem which causes lots of problems another story . Hope you soon feel better . It’s time for a nap 💤 lol .
