I have both and have had for a long time. I use a mixture of medication and complimentary therapies. I take Pregablin at a low dose (can't stand the fuzziness on a high dose) which helps the burning, shooting fibro pains, cocodamal and Ibuprofen seems to help both the fibro and osteoarthritis. Acupuncture paid for privately by a good sympathetic practitioner with also a knowledge of Chinese medicine and a vast knowledge of fibromyalgia. Gentle stretching and core exercises. Getting as much gentle exercise as my body will allow.x

My friend has had fibromyalgia for many years and has just been put on a medication for diabetes! She is pain free for the first time in 10 years. I’ve just been diagnosed and have been put on amitryptaline, it doesn’t help at all x

Can relate with the ampytriptaline it did nothing for me either I’m now on duloxatine which so far is ok and the pain I get now is manageable I’m also taking naproxen which is great for the neck and knee pain I get from the arthritis but it would be great to find a drug that we can take which would make us totally pain free .. I will have a read up on the diabetes medication thank you 🙏 😍

The diabetes medication might be Metformin as been limited research but as not licensed in uk for fibro my Gp would not trial as can upset GI system and cause diarrohea and lot of us get ibs with our fibro.

I have OA both knees, neck and shoulder. Used to take non steroidals but got ulcers. Dont find much relief with normal meds. Plug in Heat pad to areas really helps. Used to love baths for pain but not been able due to knees. I do find if can reduce fibro pain cope with joint pain better. Just started CBD oil which does help.
