Does anyone else feel when they get a cold it’s a lot harder to get rid of than someone without fibromyalgia. Infact any bug I really struggle with, or am I just being soft ? 🙈🙈🙈

You are not alone... Always takes me longer to get over a cold or bug, and often ends up triggering a fibro flare into the bargain xxx

Exactly, I’d been feeling better got this cold and it’s floored me and I’ve got a bad flare up. It’s hard work isn’t it xxx

I've got an Infection of the ear canal and a UTI, stomach cramps and to top it all. I've now got the runs which are probably the antibiotics!! You are definitely not being soft!! Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Yes I really struggle with getting warm I don't know what it is but as soon as I feel cold I just can't seem to heat myself up even with jumpers and blankets on, funny thing is when I go to bed am too hot and can't sleep lol

Sorry to hear your suffering I currently have a horrible cold it’s affecting me badly Someone for got to plug me in no energy to top it off I get bad cold sores as well they take weeks to get rid off I have we are all different my autoimmune disorder doesn’t help medication for colds and flu 🤒 makes me sick sets off my IBD hope you feel better soon big hugs x

Sorry to but in. My son has Crohn's, diagnosed when he was 12. He gets quite a lot of bad colds and after he has his infliximab infusion he would come out in spots if he didn't use special cream. Please take care of yourself Lynne

I definitely notice I take a long time to recover after a virus. All the pain increases too 😒

Hello Dottielotti, I never really thought much about it. When I was healthy without fibro I only got sick sick once every 3yrs. I would get a little cold but the one that took everything out of me or sick sick where I would be sick for 4-7days. Since getting sick with fibro 28yrs ago it was about the same but a lot of times it was hard to tell if is a bug or if it is a fibro flare. It is hard to tell but I have noticed that when I get sick sick it is taking longer to get over it. For example I had pneumonia back in 94 and it took 2-3wks to over it it but the worst of it was over in a week. A few years ago I had pneumonia it took 2-3 months to get better. The bugs going around has been getting bigger and stronger. Antibiotics resistant bugs is what I contributed to didn't think that it had anything to do with the fibro. Now it gets hard sometimes if it is a bug or a fibro flare.

Suggest allicin liquid, possibly 5ml twice a day for whatever period necessary. 250ml £40 approx. Also liposomal Vitamin C one/two 1000 mg sachets a day. £40 for 30 sachets. May help.
