For the last few weeks I am going through a rough patch where my pain levels are through the roof and my body doesn't want to do anything. My pain levels aren't responding to pain killers or the regular medication I am on for it. I am reluctant to go back to GP because last time I went the doctor told me that everyone is warned that I am coming and that I come with a list of problems. Just getting fed up and feeling down with it now.

They obviously don’t understand your pain ! Don’t not go ... you need look after yourself, just set yourself tomorrow goal ...... go to the drs 👍 keep strong 💪 x
I am at work tomorrow. I am working 6 days this week. Only got Sunday off. I don't really want to go back to be honest. I have other health issues that are currently in progress so don't want to look for another GP practice just yet. But I want to move to a different one where I won't be judged.
sorry you are struggling so much - it doesnt sound like you have a very good relationship with your surgery and this then puts every time you need to go and see a doctor on a negative footing before you step inside the consulting room.
do you feel that every time you go to see your GP you go with a list of problems ?? When you have so much going on healthwise, and not getting any answers its only natural to want to try and get as many answers as possible. However, for the GP - they see it as they only have a limited time to speak to you - and often will only deal with one issue per appointment.
One suggestion to try and resolve the situation and improve your relationship with the GP may be to arrange a meeting with the practice manager and explain how you are feeling.
however, it may also be the case that you may wish to consider changing surgeries.
Something else to consider - not everyone with fibromyalgia benefits from medication - and it may be that you are one of these people therefore the GP may not have anything else to offer you. There are many self-management techniques that you can try at home, they might not take the pain and other symptoms away completely but can help with short term relief. The Pain Toolkit is an excellent resource (paintookit.org), It may require lifestyle changes, pacing etc to help get your symptoms into control but it can be done.
Hi, I have tried self management techniques on their own but it did not help so I am now on medication as well as using self-help techniques. Its not the first time my GP practice has made me feel this way. Its the last straw this time.
Unfortunately, some GPs just don't seem to have any understanding of what it is like to live with chronic pain on a daily basis or how debilitating it can be. Xxx

There are some horrible doctors out there, I have ran into a few and I barely go - these doctors don't have a clue about how your suffering, they say nasty things to try and deter you from going up because they don't know what to do to help.
If you feel it will help then you should continue going to see them til you get some help - even if it means going through all the doctors to get one with a little compassion - My dad always said "the hinge that squeaks gets the grease"
Try not to take it to heart, they are like it all the time
