Leg, hip pain ,sweating ,sleep,
Know how you feel. Maybe thereβs a way out one day until now we gotta suffer like dogs. X
The wee small hours seem to drag on forever don't they. I'm lucky if I get 2 hours. I mainly sleep in the chair as I can't lay down due to hip and back pain. My mind is always most active at this time of night I debate all sorts of things with myself. From how flies land on the ceiling - do they turn upsidedown before landing or do they land on something and walk (Nasa had the answer for me!) Why do shoe repair shops also cut keys? do penguins have knees etc etc it goes on and on. Anyone want to spend a few hours in my brain and try and calm it down - more than willing to lend it for a few hours Hope you find sleep soon
Hello, I was awake for a while in the night and I woke my OH up chuckling away to myself (he's used to me being potty) and when he enquired what had tickled me I replied- I'm wondering if penguins have knees' To his credit he just smiled bravely and asked if I needed anything (straitjacket perhaps....) before going back to sleep. I blame you for putting it in my head yesterday, lol! xx
I so relate to this been on going for 22 years. Every few months I will just be so exhausted I will sleep for 12 hours...
I get exhausted too but have never managed more than a total of 4 hours and that is in two shifts
I haven't had a what someone would call normal sleep pattern for over 20 years. It's taken it's till I had an accident at work November 18 had to have played and screws in my shoulder..can't sleep in bed. I've been on my recliner...I'm up and down day and night and have a gear of falling now. I've progressively got worse mobility wise. I'm a complex carer and had really struggled for 2-3 years especially as I worked 12/15 hour shifts now faced with being unable to work in care again. I've tried lots of different therapies to help with the sleep but nothing has helped. I hope you can find something that works for you him x βΊ
When I can afford it I have hypnotherapy and believe me it does work. Don't know whether it's the me time and the relaxation in the chair or whether the hypnosis works but who cares as long as I can relax and feel on cloud 9 afterwards.
I'm happy for you. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to afford it but if I ever am I may try it. Thank you for the info. It's so tragic so many of us struggle with chronic pain and sleep deprivation x
I have to be really desperate and luckily my therapist has worked with me for years and does a special rate. I ask for her vouchers for Christmas and Birthdays. Relatives think I am slightly bonkers and they would be right to some degree but I would rather have something I can use and get relief from although they think it's a boring present I think it's wonderful.
I managed to get 1/2 hrs last night, I do so wish someone would invent a magic pill that makes it all go away, we can live in hope us fibro warriors, I can only pray that you all have a better day, π
I know the feeling, at least it isn't like the bad old days of No nighttime tv and No internet I end on Twitter all night it beats staring at the walls all night
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., yes horrid when we cannot switch off to pain/discomfort know that feeling the last couple of nights aching and not being able to go off, them you wake up still feeling un re -freshed and hard to start the day grrrrβΉοΈIβve posted a link above if you would like to lock your posts as only our community can see. Take care
Know how you feel had terrible bad night going to be able to do nothing today
after been up most of the night with Restless legs π’
I've been the same the last couple of days with leg, hip and back pain. Horrible uncomfortable restless feeling in my private parts as well. In my case it's probably the air pressure changing with this weather moving in π that'll do it every time. I need to move to a country with a climate instead of weather. Australia would be nice but they wouldn't let me in, I'm only fit for the glue factory now!
I hope you managed to get some shut eye eventually. I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep when my muscles won't relax and I keep jumping every time I start to nod off. I find a hot bath with Epsom salts helps me a lot if I get in when it's as hot as I can stand it and I stay in it until it's quite cold. I read it draws out toxins and replenishes magnesium levels. If nothing else I find it relaxing. I also don't try to get to sleep until I feel sleepy, even if I feel tired, not sure if that makes sense?
Some people benefit from taking magnesium glycinate before bed but others find it upsets their stomach so when my order arrives I'm going to start with a low dose and wash it down with a glass of milk and see how that goes. I've got a magnesium oil spray and that seems to be helping.
I hope you find something that works for you soon x
Ha ha the Australian one is so right my sons an daughters payee for me and my hubby to go and visit one of my son's and family in OZ in February this year for my 60 th and apart from the flight the difference was amazing yes did suffer pain but nothing to the extent of here slept better could walk a lot more until pain did kick in even my hubby who had a knee replacement last year didn't have to touch his pain killers for his arthritis Soon as we reach this country we were both in agony and it was gel when my hubby went back work he said he wished he could live in OZ xxx
Tell me about it, it's just so frustrating, hope you have a better night tonight.
Some of these symptoms may be caused by pain medications. Have you discussed /researched this?
Hi i feel your pain,i have fibro and several other dibilitating conditions,i suffer chronic/accute pain 24/7 in my hips, thighes, bum and knees my oramorph is not touching the pain today.
I found this on YouTube and listen to it most nights (best with headphones) It's a relaxation, meditation thing but claims to produce the effect of a strong tranquiliser. Never yet been able to stay awake until the end.
Sounds good will have to try it thank you all for your replayed s Big things to you all ππππ
Yes, I'm just the same with many conditions causing chronic pain. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
