Good luck today was going to say I have been on a few home visits and they are generally good nicer assessors ? .just try be yourself and be clear and get points across stick to them not wot they want to hear when they ask questions. if you have someone with you let them carry bag etc any buttons in coat etc leave open if taken jacket off take of early or get a hand.if the mobility is your criteria as well they do monitor you distance etc wot ever apply s to yourself upto 20 metres 2 double decker buses enchanched or upto 50 metres standard 4 1/2 double decker buses standard rate stop and rest and take your time do not go through pain barrier .they do comment on medical reports on these issues .you do hear some horror story's it is mostly at assessment centres .but it is fine also try remember all the criteria and stick to them hopefully you will be fine good luck today

Hi Shenni,

No one should be nervous about these assessments. Just be on your guard and take your time to think before answering each question.

It's not as though they're going to bring out a red hot poker and torture a confession from you 😉.

The BIG one to watch out for is Theresa May peeping through the window and taking notes. She's a sly one is our prime minister. So keep your eyes peeled !

Seriously, chucks, some people "pass" at the first attempt. For others, it takes time and patience while they appeal a wrong decision. But nothing bad will happen.

We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for you,

John

Thanks John I know I’m worrying about nothing all I need to do is tell the truth as to how I am I’m sure I will be fine.

Wishing u the best take care

good luck, my assessor walked pass me on the way into the centre used, first thing she did when i went in was change a hard chair for a high soft chair, told me i could have a drink if i wanted one, until she could see how my hands shook and water all over till my hubbie took over, she asked how id managed to get leggings on and i replied that my hubbie wanted me to look something like and then she spent the last 10 mins asking about fibro and how it affected me, at first i thought see was a hard cow but i passed with enhanced for both. this was only feb this year so they were not all bad
