How much longer do we have to wait?

Would anyone be willing to share how long they waited for a Universal Credit Work Capability Assessment decision?

Assessment was 7th Feb so 9 weeks ago and still nothing.

Claim has been live since September.

I called to request sign up for PIP over 5 weeks ago and I've only just had a letter asking me to prove my identity. So frustrating. I've been off work sick since November and signed up for UC in January following me handing in my notice due to knowing I won't be returning to work, and have had nothing through from them.

I feel "the system" is not set up in a supportive way. So it's nothing personal, I'm sure the people we interract with would help if they could.

Contact the DWP the new rules where that UC assessment was gonna be within 8 weeks but I do know that they where short on case workers so things where being delayed they where even going to strike about it cause they said they needed at least a further 500 case workers and instead of employing more they diverted some of them to other work instead cause if of the mess they have made with pip and esa claims having to be looked at again

No it was meant to be for the results after assessment mine took only 6 weeks

Mine took an unbelievable 5 months but they did back date it to the date of the assessment. I hope you don't wait that long good luck.

They should back date it to the date of your first sick note.

Mine came back within 2 weeks . Call UC and ask to speak to your case manager as he/ she looks at the report and decide.
