How long did you wait for an assessment from ATOS ?

Hi everyone . I've just joined here from being diagnosed in jan . I filled in my PIP forms back In September and hadn't heard anything. So called yest . They said they had looked at my claim and sent it off to ATOS in October for them to assess my claim . I called ATOS yesterday and they told me they couldn't give me an assessment date at all . Not even for 3-6 months time . What a joke !!! They have had my forms for 4 months . Surly they have to give me some sort of time scale ?? Is there any timescales you have to be seen within . ??I'm really worried and stressed as I'm struggling in every possible way at the moment .xx

I had my ATOS medical in January 2013 which I failed. I'm appealing and have just got my date for my Tribunal which is in 3 weeks time. So ... Just from medical to Tribunal date has been well over a year.

I can't remember how long I had to wait for my ATOS medical as it was so long ago now!

Firstly, I would sincerely like to welcome you to the site and I hope that you find it as useful as I have.

I am sorry but I have never undertaken anything like this myself but I have read posts from other members who say it appears to vary in length of time depending where you are in the country. There is more than ATOS scrutinising the forms and many have waited longer than you with the other assessors. I sincerely hope that you can get this sorted as soon as possible.

I sent my forms back in July 2013, and finally got a letter to attend a medical 3 weeks ago!! Hope that gives you some idea x

Mine were sent right at the beginning of Sept too and I'm still waiting for an appointment for a medical.

Mine was DLA claimed in January 2013 which was refused and at this point in time a year later have had a letter because I appealed to say a tribunal will be in 21 - 25 weeks so it could be around May time I expect. So if that gets turned down too (and things have become a lot worse over the last 12 months) then I shall have to start all over again with a PIP claim - I know one thing for sure I won't be holding my breath. Also waiting for ESA medical by ATOS

Hi Hun I put my forms in in August last year only got my assessment in jan and that was because I kept phoning that I got that over the phone just don't give up calling them

Hi I have waited since June of last yr...I.had 3. Assessements cancelled by Atos. Finally have one next week. I got my MP involved. Hope u get sorted soon. You dont need this stress.
