I take 3 x 100 mg pregalin. 1 in mornings 2 at night. If I attempted to take one less at night do you think I would need to do it gradually or can I just stop taking 2 right away? I am suffering badly with weight gain but did get ot when I was only taking 2 tablets per day.
Thanks

Hi I think it's worth seeing your Dr to get a lower dose, unless you have some 50mg, to cut down by 1/6 rather than 1/3 daily. I had withdrawal symptoms when I tried to without seeing my Dr, so had to see her to get the half dosage pills & gradually come off. Does taking 300mg help you? If so, taking less might not...
Hi, I too have suffered with weight gain on these tablets along with lack of exercise. You should definitely consult your doctor as he probably advise you to decrease slowly. If you don’t you will probably have horrible withdrawals. If you don’t want to go round to see your GP, either get a telephone appointment or write him a letter telling him what you want to do. Good luck with everything. Jsn
Like trudym I had terrible withdrawal symptoms. My GP helped me reduce from 450mg to 350mg until too painful to reduce more.they can even gicentre you 25mg dose.I did that every evening for week then next week every morning. It was more comfortable. Hope that helps you

I have put on one and a half stone since starting Gabapentin. I have reduced the dose gradually, I wouldn't recommend stopping any drugs suddenly otherwise you could go into withdrawal or increase your pain uncontrollably. Take it one day at a time, I would reduce one tablet over a week or two, depending on how long you have been taking pregabalin. If you're not sure, your pharmacist would be a good start for advice.
