Itchy head
Have you tried Antihistamines.
Used to get this loads. Suggest you try different shampoo etc. Maybe more eco ones. Though not a done deal that just being more natural is gonna do it. Could try a vinegar rinse after shampoo in place of conditioner. The smell disappears when dry. Helpful to settle itchy skin in the bath too. Just a thought.
Hi there just giving you the heads up. You may get more replies to your posts if they were locked. This is entirely your choice but if you wish to lock this and future posts this link will show you how to lock it

I get quite a bit of itching and burning indifferent areas of my body. My GP thinks it may be neuropathy. But to be honest I have never had an itchy scalp.
It could be anything from dandruff to the shampoo you may be using. If it becomes worse please speak to your doctor or practise nurse, even your pharmacist is a good source of help. I do hope you find some relief from it soon.

Yes I have had this but only since I have had fibro I is as though my skin which if course includes the scalp is extra sensitive. I now don't use any products in my hair apart from a mild shampoo and conditioner and avoid anything that has a perfumed scent to it. Hope you find something that eases it for you.x
Hi again Jemimajj,
I have had this for years but I have something called serrobhoic dermatitis not sure it's spelt right) but I have a few issues with dry skin and psoriasis and can itch anywhere.
My GP gave me some shampoo specifically for this and I have tried Tgel shampoo in the past and they have helped calm the itching. Maybe have a chat with your doctor to see if they can help.
Good Luck x
I have itchiness of my scalp contstantly. It's the worst when trying to get to sleep. Sure don't have any advice for it though.
I used to get lots of itching, mostly on my arms. Drove me potty, too.
I don't know why or when it stopped. Flares up occasionally ( doesn't everything!) and I just put it down to another annoying aspect of fibro.
As others have said, you could try a different shampoo, a cooler pillow maybe,
Hi jemima I too suffer with this.it only happen in a night my hair drips with sweat too .it's enough to drive you crazy itch, itch itch.I take an antihistamine ,it calms it a little give it a try might work better for you!!
Thank you all for all your suggestions, I will give them a go
Hi i get this sometimes but use a sulfate free shampoo which helps.
Yes, I went to gp about this and was given medicine which stopped it. Sorry can't remember the name of it, but I was convinced I had something in my hair too !
Yes I get that too. Itchy back, itchy head, itchy eyes, itchy everywhere. If taking a shower doesn’t help I end up taking a Benadryl. I have always had an itchy back as a child. It helped having a twin sister who shared the same DNA 🧬 so we there to scratch each other’s backs growing up. I didn’t have Fibro back then. My mom had an itchy back so I just thought it was hereditary that ran on my mom’s side of the family. 🤷🏼♀️I hope you get some relief. The itchies can be just as bad as the pain. It feels so good to get it scratched and get the relief.😊💕🦋🌺🌻💜
