I'm not an expert on it, be best for you to Google Lupus. You don't have to have the rash to have it and seems it's symptoms can be akin to many autoimmune conditions.
Maybe worth looking into.
I'm getting it checked for myself... best to rule out (or in whichever)x
I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing an itching issue, and I have pasted you a link to the NHS Choices cache on Lupus that you were discussing with jellynpain:
I do not have anything like this myself, but i genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for. I also sincerely hope that your flare ends for you soon.
I've had nasty rashes on my face, just like you describe. I've also had terrible rashes on my legs and the soles of my feet - once it was so bad I couldn't walk for a week! On that occasion my doctor did some blood tests and found my white blood cell count was low.
Have you had your blood tested?
I find oil of evening primrose massaged into the skin sometimes helps the rash to a limited extent.
