Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I've had this problem in ankle foot area. Extreme pain in ankle bone also. This effects standing and walking so much. Nothing has seemed to help much. Estradiol pills helped some with loosening my muscles and tendons, but need more help. With this and other FM issues, I'm amazed at the low quality of life I've gotten used to.

Chonic tendonitis for a year
Hi skuhn I too have this problem I bought a night splint/boot and found it helped a lot I also purchased a pair of crutches also some simple physio exercises I found when I googled the condition have also helped anythings worth a try. Hope this helps a little. Good luck and gentle hugs 🤗.
Hi I too have had chronic tendonitis in the base of my left thumb & index finger, brought on by 6 years of using a crutch on that arm. Absolutely no pills or lotions worked. My Dr suggested a low dose steroid injection, but warned me it would hurt. It didn't! Probably coz the tendonitis was pure agony. I have had 4 weeks pain free & have all the movement I seemed to have lost over the years. When it wears off I can have it re done I recommend it - what have you got to lose? It could work for you too. Ask your Dr coz he/she could do it there & then. Good luck🤞🏻
Have you been to a chiropodist? Foot Dr.sometimes it can be a trapped nerve ,I had most pain on my left so leaned on my right foot ,well I got pinched nerve that then went into trapped nerve for nearly two and half year I walked on it she couldn't get over that, the foot Dr wrapped my foot up for five days I think it was and just like that it was gone I think it only cost twelve quid.seriously get yourself to the foot Dr,and let us know please how you get on??
Wow! Glad you found help. I'll check that out! Thank you. Will post when better.🤗
Explain where the pain is exactly please?
Inside of foot. Tendon that runs from ankle in arch. Also tendon that runs from heel to ankle bone. Inner ankle bone and arch. The other foot has started bothering me some too, but not nearly as bad
I saw some info on what's called insertion tendon pain in fibromyalgia. Where it connects to bone. Says pretty common in FM. All tendons and cartridges are so tight in my body. Feel this in my hip and legs connection also when I go walking. Very limited motion in most painful foot.
Regarding fibro and it gets the blame for all sorts, for example in last 4yrs it was thought all these things were my fibro and in treating pain for fibro it never treated the different pain it turned out I had, trapped nerve in foot, osteoarthritis, meralgia paresthetica, dercums disease, hydrentis spuri..=/cysts hereditary,.I can't even remember what else, but I kept going back telling them its three different kinds of pain, and in checking for hip bother they'd find osteoarthritis instead or slipped discs or dercums lol so best get certain areas specialist checked .best of luck,I hope you find a way to ease some of your pain.
My father and his aunt all had rhuematoid. I hope that's not in my future. sound like u are going through awfully hard time. I wish I could give some good advice. Keep you head up🤗
That was where my pain was but also on bottom heel very central bit, foot Dr thought I had either plantar fascitis or trapped nerve,I thought it was part of fibro GPS never were able to treat it right cause it needed a specialist. I also have a trapped nerve in my hip which goes down to my foot,so it just shows, now I have to go to a nerve specialist lol.
And you have done the usual things to fix? Checked your shoes are offering the correct arch support? Plantar fasciitis is awful for pain. (read all about it!) The correct support, though not instant, will set about fixing the pain quite quickly. I went to the GP with pain in my feet, ankles knees and hips, and in his office diagnosed myself. He offered a podiatry appt that never happened but luckily I had enough money to buy some decent shoes. Yay for being able to walk without wincing due to excruciating foot pain ect. Now it is just making sure I change my shoes before they get too down at heel, else the pain comes back. Not easy on benefits hey? And not easy coz so many shoes have no arch support at all, hence more and more people suffering foot pain!
Even if it is just tendonitis, you may find correct foot support will support the tendons and should help some. Hope you get some relief soon.
Thanks Al10for you reply. I have had PFacitiis before. It did go away with therapy. I do get some relief from shoes with good support, but just ttl contraction of muscles and tendons is a problem. Have had problems with feet and legs since small child. Heading to Dr this week. Concerned bc more tendons in body are tightening and causing problems. You are so kind. Hope you are well.🤗
