I suffer from everything you all suffer. Like some one said , it hard to get warm no matter what you do I can't get worm,I have suffered from depression for years same time as fibromyalgia (about 22years immediately during my menopause.) Have been on sertraline on and off for years.Recently I have been diagnosed with cognitive impairment and the mental health consultant said the sertraline should be increased for the moodiness but I said sertraline does affect my heart if increased to higher does as I have heart condition (? microvascular agina) and sleep apnoea and then he said he ask my doctor to put me on venlafaxine. My doctor was concerned because I am on so many tablets already but we discussed together with understanding, so , she put me on the lowest dose and I can tell you , the fogines and the moodiness is much improved for me and even though am battling with other conditions, the clear brain helps me to manage them. Please your life is worthy living. I suggest, if you like , in kindness and humbleness way suggest this venlafaxine to your doctor if he or she can try you on it. I am more positive now than before despite my situation. I was a very negative person. I suffer alots but venlafaxine is helping my brain.

Glad that you have found something that helps with the brain fog and moodiness and I hope that it continues to help you going forward.

yes venlafaxine is a very good anti depressant but just be cautious it is incredibly hard to withdraw from if ever you need to.

What dose you on?

Hello I am glad too read this has helped your mood and your feeling more positive, it takes awhile too get something too help us, I was put on Sertraline and had an awful reaction and my anxiety hit the roof a few years back, just by chance an out of hours appointment changed things as I was put on duloxtene ,the last few years it has really helped me, not easy this condition is it, I too have sleep apnea and wearing my face mask can be hard at times as more recently I seem too have dry sinuses and morning headaches, I have CFS as well, I do take the positives out of the better days for sure , chatting here on the forum remind s me I’m part of a very big unwanted club xx

Thanks for the cuddle , it’s supposed too help with fatique @basically wearing it will prevent diabetes, strokes , I am on a pressure of 10 and my episodes for when pause in breathing should be under 5 per hour which they are, sleep clinic are very helpful with any questions you may have. I have humidifier attached too machine , I always have water as you can get dry , I use a menthol/lavender head balm which I use on my head /temples. xx

Yes my stoppages were quite high when I was 1st tested, only found out by accident I had sleep apnea, apparently it’s because I have a small palate, I know smokers, over weight can cause sleep, apnea as well. Yes I put it under hit water every day once I’ve emptied it ,ul see when it has too be changed (we’ve hard water here in Suffolk )and the bottom of the container starts too go. I hope you settle down with mask , it took me 2 or 3 weeks I suppose . Anything I can help you with please ask x

So sorry to hear you're going through this. A lot of people don't understand how horrible fibromyalgia actually is. I've had it for 15 years now so hard to believe, but there is days where I get the worst brain fog and the mood swings are something else, and I can't help it. I was on setraline but it didn't agree with me so on mirtazapine now, doesn't seem to be helping though, it would be nice to have a day where my mind is (back to normal).

I'm glad to hear that you've got a bit of relief and I hope and pray that you will have many better days ahead.

Recently I've been putting hot water bottles on daily, it helps with warming up, nothing worse then feeling cold all the time.

I've also been referred for sleep apnea.

I do hope that you are ok and try and think positive,I know this is hard when your in pain every day.

Sending hugs 🤗

My Big hugs to you all. You are all such an encouragement. Showing that we are not mad.Yes my machine gives me dry nose and mouth. I will try the hot water bottle, the menthol and lavender, my humidifier no longer do the job but Iam going to see the clinic again in two days.

Praying for us all and hopefully there shall come a day when a permanent cure is found and we can have a fresh breeze!! Love all.

Before i go, a scientist told a friend of mine that blending fresh spinach and some fruits Berries helps her pains during the day. Am going to try it and see . If you want to, let us know if it works for you. You are all marvellous.

I am glad to hear you have found something that is helping you. I take venlafaxine as well. I was prescribed it years ago for my anxiety disorders and depression. But, I find it helps more with my anxiety than my depression.

I do want to raise one concern I have though. You mention in your post that you have a heart condition. And, unfortunately venlafaxine can affect the heart. Most notably, it increases your heart rate. Because of this, I think you should have a discussion with your cardiologist about taking this medication (if that is possible).

I know all of this because I also have a heart condition, and had to talk to my cardiologist about the medication before I was able to take it. Venlafaxine might be completely fine for you to take. But, I think it is important to make sure that it is safe for you. Hopefully, it is, as it is helping you so much.

Thank you very much. Yes me and my doctor had a discussion about it and she puts me on the lowest dose of 37 .5mg. For now I am doing OK with it.I really appreciate that. Thank you.will be see my cardiologist soon. .
