It is to register thst you sre disabled with your local council, and you get things like vat taken off disability items, go to the Cinema with someone they get in free as your carer x
I know that it is hard enough to cope with daily living........your best to keep apealing for your DLA get as much back-up from all the medical pep's you see and Adult Social Services. I hope this helps you in some way Kind Regards D x
hello cowsrock. i work full time(37 hours) and claim dla. i got high mobility and nothing for the care. which is fine as i really need it for the mobililty.
From what you are saying re your health you should be sucessful in applying for PIP. i used the website benefits and work. it was brilliant and really focused my answers as i tended to ramble. It gives you examples of what you could write and you just tailor it to your needs. If you are unsure whether you can fill it it yourself go to Citzens advice or google benefit services or support services in your area. there are quite a few in london. i know its much more difficult out of london to get the support.
Try and get every person who helps with your health to write a supporting letter. Put your name and national insurance number on all these so they don't get lost. If they are not supportive just get them to write the facts/confirm about your health conditions e.g what they are. With mine i added a letter form my gp, my action plan from the ocupational thearpy and a letter form my podiatrist. Let me know if you need further assistance. I truly hope this helps... kind regards kimbles.
Not got a reply yet so will see if I have to appeal this time will need some help then, as you say I am one of them people that waffle lol, will let you all know how I get on xx
I did get basic care back then, and still do missed out on 2 points to get mobility , I have now put in a updated claim as I am twice as bad as I was 5 years ago, and yes I push myself to much and my husband is always telling me off, I do 24 hours a week work which is near impossible now that they even want me out.
