Hi everyone I am writing to say do not give. I was reduced from enhanced to standard PIP for mobility in November 2016 I applied for mandatory reconsideration & failed I contacted Welfare Rights & they agreed to represent me. We went to a tribunal & failed the person who supported me was not happy with result & asked for it to be checked, this is where it started to go in my favour & it was passed to the higher tribunal in London & they found flaws in the first tribunal. My GP’s letter had not been taken into consideration, they had not taken into consideration I was in pain on walking any distance & the same Judge & Dr had re checked my tribunal. They decided I had to have another tribunal, which I had 23rd October nearly 2 years from the 1st but I won & have been awarded enhanced all be it back dated & it is only until November 2019 so I can not reapply for a car but will get back dated money. So never give up!!,

Brilliant news Ebby congratulations on getting what ur entitled to xx
Excellent News ! Its a struggle to fight it but as you've done we must fight for what we deserve
Hello Ebby14 firstly WoW what a fight you fought ! Well done for persistence I don't know how you managed its such a stressful experience even without going to tribunals well done 👏 what a great axample to show to others and just goes to show that even tribunals panelist don't do things properly, at least you got your voice heard eventually and you got what you deserve and backdated too, shame to be just until next year tho why are they giving out for such a short time is beyond me as if people are going to recover in a year all of a sudden, I've had 2 review assessments since my first award and have to have another next year they award me for 2 years twice but with another assessment a year later saying my conditions can change, they haven't changed in 10 years so why they will change now I don't know but I only started to claim benefits in 2016 and so it's not like I didn't try to fight my ill health but never mind have to be grateful I didn't have to go through what you have bless you and well done xx
well done hun for sticking at it- i would send copies of all this to your local MP or ask them fora home visit, the local government do not like bad publicity about the DWP> dont let them off the hook, too many people are.
Absolutely brilliant it's great to hear about someone getting some good news
Gentle hugs Rosie xx 😊
Fantastic, Ebby !
And the additional good news is that you'll now be getting all that backdated money you're owed (dare I say) just in time for Christmas.
So pleased for you,
John
I fume every time I read a story like this WHY do we have to justify ourselves and go to extreme lengths to prove that we are sick I hate being judged by those who will never ever walk a mile in my or your shoes and cannot possibly understand the pain and suffering we all go through on a daily/weekly basis I am just waiting for a reply on my PIP reassessment.
I am convinced that I will be called for a F2F even though my last assessment in 2015 took all of 4 minutes and the lady said it was to dangerous to ask me to do any exercises So she asked me 4 questions and that was that.
It is my understanding that this Government was going to put a stop to F2F for those with long term disabilities and those who were diagnosed as not improving in their health.
All the best all Regards Ian
