Heavy feeling in my chest

Hi all I don't no what the feeling is but for the last 4 days I've had this heavy feeling in my chest, at first I thought i was getting a chest infection I do feel anxious as well so I don't no if this has anything to do with it I just wondering if anyone else has had this feeling .

I get costochondritis, it's a sort of heavy, pressing feeling in my chest, very uncomfortable. I put a hot water bottle ( wrapped) on my chest and sit against pillows with another hot bottle on my back. I take a couple of soluble paracetamol and usually find the pain subsides within an hour.

I think if you try this and it helps it's probably costochondritis but maybe you should get your chest/heart checked at the drs just to be on the safe side.

Thankyou I think I mite get it checked at doctors it's scary when all these different pains are propping up isn't it x

It is a horrible feeling. I thought at first it might be a heart problem but nothing showed up on an ECG, Xray and blood tests. I reckoned that as heat and a couple of painkillers and trying to relax stopped the pain, it couldn't be anything serious and was just fibro throwing something else at me.

Getting it checked will at least put your mind at rest.

Hi holly I've tried the hot water bottle on my chest and it does help , I went to doctors and they said it could be a flare up of fibro they give me a good examination aswell , thankyou for the advise x

Get it checked out with chest pain or heaviness it’s always good to check it out. I have been down loads of times they take any chest related stuff very seriously xx
