Losing all feeling in my hands
yes i have. it does pass though! my main loss of feeling tends to be my legs though, i just cannot physically move, also happens from waist down, hence having to wear "nappies" at the age of 37!!!!!!! hope yours just stays in hands to be honest. good luck david
Well thankyou i hope it just staysin my hands as well
Hi yes please dont worry i have that nearly all the time i have also carpel tunnel so may be worth seeing your GP and mentioning this as it is another delight of fibro !!!! i have wrist splints that i wear and they help a bit but it is horrible your wrists are so limp and you feel like your fingers are just sort of hanging there in mid air love to you diddle x
i get that aswell ,manily in my fingers ,somtimes in my arms aswell ,and somtimes just for fun my body likes to go numb on one side when im in bed its a horrible sensation so hopefully yours will stay in your hands ,
have you got any wrist splints ? maybe if you have an ocupational therapist they could help you
hope this helps xxx
I'd be interested to know if any of you have been tested for B12 deficiency. These are all classic signs of it and so many people who have had it undiagnosed for years end up with these problems which are being put down as fibromyalgia. Even if you discover you have what is considered a normal B12 level, I would urge you to ask for some trial injections to see if they help (particularly with accompanying fatigue). They may not help immediately, and you would need to make sure you were given folic acid along with them. If you can't get access to B12 injections, then try 5000mcg B12 sublingual tablets to see if these help.
It really upsets me to see so many people suffering like this and yet, through medical ignorance of the link, never being given the chance to at least try B12.
yes I get numbness and tingling in both hands, especially when in bed or leaning forward. can't be sure if this is down to the fibro or a more likely caused by osteo in my neck.
yep i get numbness and tingling and often drop things which is both annoying and frustraiting xx
The pain and fatigue and all the other nastys we get with fibro then to have the numbness..it drives me crazy get it in my legs but find my arm and hand right side awful worse than pain...also losing the what I thought was losing the urge to wee and sitting there waiting was just me so altough wouldnt wish it on anyone knowing that Im not the only one reassured me...love and light to you all xx
i get numbness as well as burning pins and needles in my arms and legs but that is due to my Peripheral Neuropathy. Have you asked your Doctor whether you might have this? x
I have on a regular basis lost feeling in my hands especially when I am holding the telephone, a pen, book, or such like and it leaves my hands numb and I am unable to use them effectively..I am not sure if you have those same symptoms or if this happens in the same way with your hands...!
I also have this in my hands and have given in to the lovely wrist splints but cannot be vain when were in pain lol : ) i regularly drop things because my hands and wrists won't behave hense i have learnt to buy lots of mugs I also have a dishwashes so don't have to wash them thank goodness or wouldn't have any cups. But also get the problem in my legs and feet.
people think it's all in our mind so it's refreshing to realise others understand.
Thank you everyone xx
Greetings to all - yes I also get sudden numbness in my hands and arms with no warning, I go to pick up something and i cant hold it - have dropped the kettle many times. I thought it was arthritis - but x-rays were negative. Now I know its the fibro.....such a horrible condition, I feel suicidal at times. Glad I have found this forum! Hugs to all xx
