Coccyx pain

This pain is a killer omg on too of all my pains i av to deal with this lower back pain and unusual calf tightness(not dvt) feels like i av a tight sock on. Doctors keeps blaming everything on fibro sotheydnt bother checking me. Its sp annoying

Khea, any idea what caused coccyx pain? Sudden or gradual onset? Too much sitting? Just asking coz you say you are getting fobbed off with fibro. Is there anything that could be checked? Drs do like to blame fibro coz so often there is nothing to find so it is fibro! So why check?

I've just had my coccyx injected with a strong steroid under the care of an orthopaedic surgeon,,I was referred on by my rheumatologist..

Any difference in feeling. No i dnt sit alot. I get it regardless of sitting or standing.

Hello Khae I wonder if you really have coccyx pain or BURSITIS, if you google bursitis and ask for images then look at pelvic and hip area pictures you might find your answer. I had all the area looked at recently after a steroid injection into coccyx because I fell off a ladder onto my buttocks and thought I had undone the good work the orthopod did,, the A&E told be the bursa was inflammed and to take some anti inflammatories for a while, they do relive the pain

Hi there could you see a different doctor at your surgery ? I had a bone density scan it wasn’t till I saw a different gp at my surgery he noticed I had a lower fracture on my back and other doctor had not rung me and told me, ( 6 months later) I was lifting my grandboys , shopping etc so now it’s too late the damage has been done , it does ache so hot water bottle , warm baths , heating gel at the ready . I think they could offer an X-ray at the hospital just to check this out , just shows you mistakes are made, for a piece of mind ask don’t be robbed off. Take care x
