Is it just me who, when having to take meds with or after food, says b****r (edited by admin) it to making anything decent and ends up eating a bowl of cereal? I can cook, I do cook, but sometimes the desire to actually cook deserts me completely. I guess this is just my punishment for feeling queasy if I take my meds without having food. Dear Lord, this is one seriously need up condition.

your not along in this!! my problem is I am also diabetic, so I have to eat something even when its the last thing I want to do!. I tend to keep snacky stuff in the cupboard but like everyone that has answered here, sometimes I just cannot be bothered to cook for myself, believe it or not, I do cook for the dog!! I would like to know if any of you has experienced changes in your sense of taste, I am 62, is this a 'mature' thing [I am not going to say old, because I don't think that I am!!] I particularly cant bear tea any more, I
don't drink coffee anyway, but I miss my tea, but it just tastes wrong, I love cheese but have to find the strongest I can otherwise I cant really taste it very well, my diabetic nurse says that diabetis can change your taste buds, sorry I've got side tracked there, but just like the rest of you cooking is just too much effort at times. I do buy those microwave rice packs and add chicken, beef something like that, but I too go for a sandwich, I have wondered if it is depression?.....I have no trouble reaching for a bar of chocolate, yum.
Now I can hear that bar in the cupboard calling me, the sandwich canwait!!
Before I go, I often put my tea in a storage box and bring it in the living room, that way I can eat it when I feel peckish, it works for me, I've also had a bad attack of gastroenteritis which made eating even more difficult, heavens, we are a sad bunch arnt we. I also have IBS, could I take this opportunity to ask for ideas about what I can and cant eat? there doesn't seem to be a lot of help out there so far as sensible suggestions go.
Thanks for listening.
Lyzzie and Buggles [my dog, who has no problem eating everything in sight]
Well! It appears I'm not alone in this. I feel so much better, knowing that it's not just me and it's most likely the Fibro. I only wish that my reduced eating also brought with it reduced weight. Alas, it doesnt! They say these things are sent to try us, I just wish Fibro wouldn't!
