I woke up this morning to find both dogs on my bed and hadn't heard them come up.did they hear me in the night as I had a strange dream.?i got dressed and went downstairs to get their food ready and take my meds when I coughed -not very hard but enough to have a searing pain in the back of my ribs and spine.just as well am seeing ENT consultant this afternoon and that I have a lift.not looking forward to the journey tho -its an hour by car but the scenery on route is fantastic.

Hi. I had the similar experience nd got sent to emergency heart clininc. Heart was ok but it turned out to be costochondritis. Very painful. Propped in chair for a few days with hot water bottles.

hi everyone

.thanks fro your replies.the trip to hospital wasn't too bad.started to feel sleepy after about 45 mins.

the drive takes us through villages and small towns and follows the river most of the way.scenery was great especially cos it was sunny and a lot of the roads were lined with hundreds of daffs.

as sat in the car for an hour and just felt stiff when I got out .it was all for 15 minutes.

saw consultant who asked for history and then gave me an anaesthetic(spray)before inserting a camera to see what was going on.after poking around then said he was going to arrange a CTscan to see what's going on with sinuses-in 6-8 weeks!

the drive home always seems so much quicker.
