Gosh that's a lot to cope with. Have you had your thyroid correctly checked ? The Thyroid hormone T3 is needed in every cell of your body so if low - then things begin to go wrong. It's a bit like trying to spread a teaspoon of butter on a loaf of bread - just not enoygh to go around ! Also some of your symptoms sound like low B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD so do ask your GP to test as they are not routinely tested and are often missed ...

I too was wondering about thyroid problems as my friend had very similar symptoms before she was given thyroxin. Unfortunately, many of the symptoms are the same as fibro ones. Have they done any blood tests as they often decided we have fibro when tests for things like thyroid problems, RA and lupus come up negative?x

Hi there,I have fibro and osteoarthritis to,sounds like both to me what you described to a t.have they took bloods?

When you say your bloods were good - did you see the actual results and did you obtain copies ? You are legally entitled to have copies of all your results - so you can monitor your own progress and check to see what has been missed ! - yes it happens. All surgeries should now have records on-line - but sadly not all. You could enquire if your surgery does. Docs often say things are good when results are in range - but it is where you are in the range that is important :-)

For the correct Thyroid Testing you will need the TSH - FT4 and FT3 - sadly the NHS seem to think they can diagnose a thyroid problem by testing just the TSH - a Pituitary hormone. Also Anti-bodies need testing to rule out Hashimotos - Anti-TPO and Tg. Hashimotos is auto-immune and brings with it other problems like Low B12 - folate - Ferritin - VitD - so all need testing and they need to be optimal - so your thyroid hormones can work well in your body.

Low Thyroid is responsible for at least 300 symptoms in the body and Hashimotos is the most common thyroid condition affecting millions globally. So easy to rule it out by testing anti-bodies.

Low thyroid can be a reason for raised blood pressure - as can raised thyroid hormones. Sometimes it is helpful to seek out the root cause of things. Even magnesium has a positive effect on blood pressure .... I have read.

i have Hashimotos - B12 Deficiency caused by surgery - Crohns - aches and pains when gut inflammation is raised :-( - and so I have learnt from others who know more than me to find wellness ...
