Leg pain
Hi there π I get that a lot if I have overdone things esp if my back has been really sore I can only describe it as a migraine in the middle veins running down deep inside my legs mainly it's because of the sciatic nerve as I pinch this all the time do u get the pain running up into your butt cheeks too as that's is where the sciatic nerve is hope it gets better solphadiene is good for sciatic nerve pain however it does make del feel really sick so be careful on it xxxx
thanks ill give it a try as nothing else helps xx
Hi
I get this too
Nothing seems to relieve the pain it's agony when I get up, can't move my leg one way or the other, it sorts itself out in the end I happens if I've only sat down for say 10 minutes . Love to you all Lynne xxxx
Hi suewood most of us get legs pains of many descriptions with fibro and OA/RA, check for swellings if you can and report to gp. I often just immerse in warm water to relieve my legs, I sometimes get restless legs esp. since gp put me on blood pressure pills.
Hi Sue, like you I am in the worst pain with my fibro the worst it has been. You describe it very well and sounds like mine. I have always loved walking and find it pulls me down now I can't do that like I used to. In saying that I am so lucky not have some of the awful illnesses that many have to cope with.
Take care and gentle hugs
Hi Suewood,
Similar to what you describe started for me about three months ago, every morning and sometimes during the day. In the mornings I swing my legs out of bed so that I am sat on the side of the bed to take my early morning tablets, but about three months ago I swung my legs out as usual, and I had this extremely painful sensation from my hips moving slowly down to my toes, it was just as if I had burning oil in my veins. This subsides after a few minutes, then I get something like cramp, but the pain is about five times worse than cramp, I try to walk to the bathroom (to stand in the cold shower tray), but I am just like a baby first attempting to walk. This all goes away after about twenty minutes, but I am left with throbbing aching legs. This happens most mornings and sometimes during the day if I have been sat down for a while. The GP's (two different ones) say it is a combination of my age and the Fibromyalgia, neither would alter my prescription because they said I was already on a high dose of pain killers.
We must just keep on taking the tablets, and muddle along as best we can.
Wishing you well, and hoping your pain goes away. Paperman.
Hi. If you are also having problems walking your gp should be checking your ankle for a pulse and possibly referring you for an mri scan to rule out a vascular problem x
