I’ve had enough

Another condition diagnosed with no links to the other 6 I already have. I struggle every day to keep them all as well as they can be. I fight every day against the pain and fatigue and get to work and I am just sick of the struggle. I take all the meds morning noon and night but still I’m not well. What’s the point of taking b*****y (edited by admin) pills when they don’t make you better? Why can’t I be symptom free for one day?

Sorry I’m feeling sorry for myself as once again I’m told this new issue has to be trial and error to see what will best work. That’s all I hear.

i sincerely hope you are having a better day than me

And my car broke - seriously it’s hilarious but tragic

So sorry you got all this 🤬 why is it when we are having a hard time of it that something has to break down on us? 🤦🏼‍♂️☘️

Hii really wish there was something I could do for you

It's awful being in so much pain. I've got many conditions, when isn't playing up one of the others kicks in!! Even worse is when they all kick in together!! Not fun!! I know there's someone worse off than me but you don't think about that when you are going they it!!! Please take care. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Thank you. Anxiety adds fuel to the exasperation but I can’t say how good it feels to be able to vent safely on this board and know I’m not alone. Thank you.

You are very welcome. You can sometimes feel better when you vent your feelings!!! It's better than bottling it up. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Thank you all. I hope you have a good day x

I'm in awe of anyone who can go to work with fibro. Honestly, I thought I was a tough person before this wretched illness hit. I've been a sobbing, quivering wreck in bed most of today--- like you, so fed up of being in pain.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

I feel you. Work is a real struggle, but hang in there. Our health would probably worsen if we didn't have the activity of work.

I am also sorry you are going through this. Hang on in there and look forward to a time of less pain and a better life.

Have you looked into making your work easier? I chose to ask for a seat that was concave not convex as I have tailbone issues. I also had an electric chair to cover the larger distances and a stick to help me with balance but also to remind me to pace myself.

Another lady with the same conditions, osteoarthritis and fm, chose to tough it out and refused all aids. She was in agony every day.

I can’t see the point in putting yourself through that because of pride. It affects your work and attitude. We worked in a school and she often snapped at children whilst I found it easier to be patient. She was very good at her job too.

Because of funds a large number of us became redundant, which is why it is past tense. Having changed my job I am in even less pain.

There is hope for a better life for you but we have to find our own way to help ourselves. Try listening to guided meditation every night to realign your chakras. They are how you can visualise energy points in your body, plus it helps with sleep.

All the best.

Hi thank you for this. I do try to manage daily but just now it’s my eyes that give me problems. It’s hard not to look at things but I listen to audio books. Don’t watch tv or spend time at computer. I’ve just got over two lots of antibiotics for infections.

When my eyes are sore and my hands curl up, it’s hard to do anything. I’m fortunate my work does allow my to vary what I do but you are right I think I could get referred back to occupation therapy team.

Not what you're looking for?
